Those persons, who wear ‘Urdhva<br />
Pundra’, together with the round shaped kumkum<br />
in the middle will surely attain Moksha by witnessing<br />
its image in a mirror or in water.<br />
SIZE OR DIMENSION OF<br />
‘URDHVA PUNDRAM’<br />
Apart from wearing the prescribed configurations<br />
of ‘Urdhva Pundram’ marked in the midregion<br />
with kumkum/<strong>Shree</strong>churnam, the devotee<br />
shall also adhere to prescribed size or dimensions<br />
of ‘Urdhva Pundram’, aspects of which are discussed<br />
here.<br />
In Achar Mayukha, it is said:<br />
ª Š±üÐé‹Çî}¢ë…éæ „¢ñ}² ÜUçÝDXéçH}¢¼ì S}¢ë¼}¢ì JJ<br />
Ý¢„¢çÎÜUïÝà¢Ð²ü‹¼æ Ðí²Õ¢¼ì {¢Ú²ï¼ì …Ý :JJ<br />
(Urdhvapundramrijum saumya kanishthangulimat smritam.<br />
Nãsãdikeshparyntam praytnat dhãryat janah.)<br />
Again Padma Purana, endorses a similar view:<br />
¥¢Ú|² Ý¢ç„ÜU¢}¢êHæ HH¢Åï ç±çHï‹}¢ë΢ J<br />
„}¢¢Ú|² |¢íé±¢ï}¢êüH}¢‹¼Ú¢Hæ ÐíÜUËвï¼ì JJ<br />
(Ãrbhya nãsikãmoolam lalãte vilikhanmridã.<br />
Samãrabhy bhruvormoolamantarãlam prakalpyet.)<br />
In the view of Satsangi Jeevan:<br />
