The elegant door catch is mounted inside the cabinet. The hook and wedge element are mounted to the inside of either the right or left door. The door with the hook element must be closed first. Dialock Furniture Locking System Dialock in Furniture and Casework The convenient and safe locking system from Häfele. Storing files and valuables safely is a prime challenge to a modern reliable locking system. With the DIALOCK furniture locking system, drawers, compartments, shutters, etc. are locked electromagnetically. The individual locking units are controlled by a central component – the Dialock Furniture Terminal (DFT). (DFT) meets all requirements for convenient electronic locking. Different levels of expansion are feasible so that every planner has optimum design freedom. The advantages (“recore”) • Centralized opening and locking of complete cabinet systems. • If a Key (“electronic key’) is lost, the locking authorization can be withdrawn without having to replace locks on all the pieces of furniture. • The DIALOCK locking system can be extended to entrance doors, offices, or buildings without any problems or changes to the locking units or the (DFT). The User Key can be reprogrammed and reused. • Specialized consultants are available for further levels of expansion, such as facility management with time and attendance. The components The DIALOCK furniture locking system consists of the following components: • Dialock Furniture Terminal (DFT) with antenna DFANT • DIALOCK Electronic Key set • Electric Furniture Lock (EFL) • Distribution block or output extender Dialock Furniture Terminal (DFT) with antenna DFANT The Dialock Furniture Terminal (DFT) is suitable for concealed installation. From the Dialock Furniture Terminal (DFT), electric furniture locks (EFL) are controlled. In order to operate the system, a DIALOCK Key (the “electronic key”) is presented in front of the external antenna. The (DFT) will give an audible signal when a valid user key is presented to the device: • A single signal for a valid key • A double signal for an invalid key Dialock Electronic Key set The set generally consists of three keys. Typically one user (depends on the required amount for the application), one Programming ADD key and one Programming DELETE key are needed to make the system work. When a key (“electronic key”) is presented to the DFANT antenna, the data stored (unique code) on the key is analyzed. Specified electric furniture locks (EFL) are triggered according to the authorization of the key. The locking units are opened or locked with the User Keys. Up to 200 User Keys can be assigned. Access authorizations are assigned or withdrawn with the Programming ADD and DELETE keys, respectively. Distribution Block The electric furniture locks (EFL) are triggered by the Dialock Furniture Terminal (DFT) via a connection to a distribution block. Dialock Furniture Locking System allows implementing solutions with electric furniture locks (EFL) either keyed alike or keyed differently. For the keyed alike solution, a maximum of 6 locks can be connected via the distribution block. This solution can be extended to a maximum of 11 locks with an additional distribution block. Output Extender (OE) For the solution with keyed differently application, the output extender OE is used. A maximum of 8 locks can be connected to the output extender. Each lock can then be assigned locking authorization to individual keys or groups of keys. Three solutions for individual areas of application The Dialock furniture locking system offers three solutions: • Maximum 11 keyed alike locks using the distribution blocks and EFL • Maximum 8 locks with a keyed differently application using the output extender and EFL • Maximum 11 keyed alike locks using the distribution blocks and EFL AND maximum 8 locks with a keyed differently application using the output extender and EFL For all three solutions, you can choose between two different locking types: Toggle Lock function (opened/ locked with presentation of valid key) If an authorized User Key is presented to the (DFT), the EFL lock is triggered and opened. It stays opened until the User Key is presented to the (DFT) again, when the lock(s) close. Cycle Lock function (opened with presentation of valid key, relocks automatically) If an authorized User Key is presented to the (DFT), the EFL lock is triggered and opened for 3 seconds. With this time span, the locking unit (door or drawer) can be opened. After the 3 seconds have passed, the EFL locks again automatically. The time span can be adjusted between 1 and 25 seconds by means of the Configuration Transponder, OPEN TIME #74. 566
