ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
For Ordering Ground Engaging Tools
At Quality Chain Canada it is our mission to ship you the correct product for your machine
as quickly as possible. When ordering the G.E.T. parts you require, it is important to
have either the part number, or as much of the following information as possible
about the machine and the part in demand.
What type of machine is the part for?
Eg: Excavator or Loader;
Komatsu Excavator (pictured at right);
Case Backhoe
What is the machine’s make & model number?
Eg: Caterpillar, Hyundai, etc. Model numbers are generally
printed in big letters on either side of the machine.
What is the bucket size and manufacturer?
This information is on an ID tag, ofen found on the top
backside of the bucket, near the pin bosses
(pictured at right)

How does the tooth pin onto the adapter?
Eg: Side pin, Top pin, Bolt-on, Crimp-on.
What style of pin is used?
Eg. 1pc Rubber Flex Pin; 2 pc. Pin & Lock

What are the dimensions of the tooth “pocket”?
The tooth pocket is the hollow space of the tooth
where the adapter is inserted then pinned. Much like
a puzzle the two must fit together to work properly.
Important measurements of the pocket are as such;
Inside horizontal WIDTH
Inside vertical HEIGHT
Inside DEPTH
You will see this noted throughout the catalogue as
“Pocket Dimensions: WxHxD”
Other factors to consider include; level of penetraton required for the job
(ie: earth surface your working on... extremely hard to penetrate versus soft
and easily penetrable. See pg 10 & 11 for Tooth profiles & descriptions.
