5 Inflate the blanket before tying the drawstrings. Refer to<br />
Step 6, on page 17 for more information.<br />
Note: Do not tie the drawstrings too tightly. Ensure airflow<br />
moves freely through the blanket.<br />
6 Tie the drawstrings around the patient’s arms (c) to prevent<br />
the blanket from moving.<br />
7 If desired, place a light weight blanket over the convective<br />
warming blanket.<br />
8 If desired, carefully lay the clear head drape loosely over the<br />
patients’s head.<br />
Note: Do not cover the patient's head with clear drape if the<br />
patient is not intubated and ventilated.<br />
9 Continue with Step 6, on page 17, to begin using the<br />
convective warmer.<br />
