SW-2009 Pediatric Underbody <strong>Convective</strong> Warming Blanket<br />
1 Place the blanket on the table with the perforated side facing<br />
up (a).<br />
2 Position the patient on top of the blanket (b). Place the<br />
patient’s head in the non-inflated head section (c) and the<br />
body centered between the absorbent pads (d).<br />
3 Select one of the two entry ports. Fold the port, then tear<br />
away the cardboard center in the collar ring (e).<br />
4 Fold the entry port back to open the collar ring and insert the<br />
hose nozzle (f) into the collar ring. Refer to Step 4, on page<br />
16, for more information.<br />
5 If desired, carefully lay the clear drape(s) loosely over the<br />
patient (g). Remove the paper backing (h) from the adhesive<br />
strip and press the adhesive strip firmly against the patient<br />
and bed to secure.<br />
Note: Do not cover the patient's head with clear drape if the<br />
patient is not intubated and ventilated.<br />
6 Continue with Step 5, on page 16, to attach the sheet clip.<br />
