SW-2008 Sterile Cardiac <strong>Convective</strong> Warming Blanket<br />

WARNINGS WARNINGS<br />

• Do not use the SW-2008 convective warming blanket if the package is damaged or open.<br />

Sterility may be compromised and may cause death or serious injury.<br />

1 Place the blanket on top of the patient (a) with the<br />

perforated side against the patient's skin.<br />

2 Position the blanket with the hose facing up and the collar<br />

ring accessible (b).<br />

3 Position the clear window (c) over the groin area to allow<br />

access to the region if needed.<br />

4 Remove the paper backing (d) from the adhesive strip and<br />

press the adhesive strip (e) firmly against the patient and<br />

bed to secure.<br />

Connect the SW-2008 Hose<br />

The hose for the cardiac blanket attaches differently than other<br />

blankets.<br />

5 Connect the blanket’s collar ring (f) to the hose nozzle (g). Press<br />

together, making sure the hose barb snaps into the collar ring (f).<br />

6 If desired, place a lightweight blanket over the convective warming<br />

blanket.<br />

7 Continue with Step 5, on page 16, to attach the sheet clip and<br />

begin using the convective warmer.<br />
