SW-2003 Upper Body Convective Warming Blanket<br />

1 Place the blanket on the patient with the perforated side<br />

against the patient's skin.<br />

2 Remove the paper backing from the adhesive strip (a) and<br />

tape the blanket to the patient to prevent air flow on the<br />

surgical site.<br />

3 Tuck the blanket flap (b) under the patient's outstretched<br />

arms.<br />

4 If desired, place a light weight blanket over the convective<br />

warming blanket.<br />

5 If desired, carefully lay the clear head drape loosely over the<br />

patients’s head.<br />

Note: Do not cover the patient's head with clear drape if the<br />

patient is not intubated and ventilated.<br />

6 Continue with Step 4, on page 16, to attach the hose to the blanket.<br />

SW-2004 Lower Body Convective Warming Blanket<br />

1 Place the blanket on the patient with the perforated side<br />

against the patient's skin.<br />

2 Remove the paper backing (c) from the adhesive strip and<br />

tape the blanket to the patient to prevent air flow on the<br />

surgical site.<br />

3 Tuck the blanket flap (d) under the patient's feet.<br />

4 If desired place a light weight blanket over the convective<br />

warming blanket.<br />

5 Continue with Step 4, on page 16, to attach the hose to<br />

the blanket.<br />
