1. Description of the Event<br />

1.1 Demonstration event <strong>for</strong> historic rally cars on closed roads, no timekeeping.<br />

1.2 The intention of the event is not to achieve top speeds and fastest stage times.<br />

1.3 Total distance covered during the event: about 330 km<br />

1.3 The route and time controls are defined by the road book and a time card.<br />

2. Eligible Cars and Classification<br />

2.1 Original: Original historic rally cars<br />

2.2 Slo1: Rally cars identical to the original<br />

2.3 Slo2: Rally cars with small differences to the original<br />

2.4 Slo3: Rally cars with larger differences to the original<br />

2.5 National: Important historic rally cars from national championships<br />

2.6 Special rally cars: Rally cars with a special historical interest which are not eligible<br />

in modern rallying anymore.<br />

2.7 The cars will be classified by Reinhard Klein, Slowly Sideways.<br />

2.8 All cars must have a road registration at all times during the event and have to comply with the<br />

German traffic registration regulations (Straßenverkehrs-Zulassungs-Ordnung, StVZO). Cars<br />

registered outside the Federal Republic of Germany have to comply with the traffic registration<br />

regulations of their country. In the case of a police report, the organiser is not liable <strong>for</strong> the<br />

con<strong>for</strong>mity of the cars to these regulations.<br />

2.9 All cars must be equipped with a roll cage, proper bucket seats, seat belts with at least four-point<br />

attachment and a 2 kg handheld fire extinguisher.<br />

3. Driver and Co-driver<br />

3.1 Driver and co-driver do not need a competition licence. The driver must, however, have a valid<br />

driving licence.<br />

3.2 It is compulsory to wear helmets on the demonstration stages. Driver and co-driver must also<br />

wear fire-proof overalls.<br />

4. Documentation and Scrutineering<br />

4.1 During documentation, every crew has to present the following documents: a valid driving licence<br />

(driver), car registration papers, proof of insurance and proof of payment of the insurance<br />

premium.<br />

4.2 All cars have to go through scrutineering within the allocated time.<br />

5. Reconnaissance of the demonstration stages<br />

Reconnaissance is only allowed within the allocated times. Outside these times, it is strictly prohibited to<br />

take a motor vehicle on non-public roads and tracks within the county (Landkreis Vulkaneifel). It is<br />

strictly <strong>for</strong>bidden to use the actual rally car during reconnaissance. The cars used during<br />

reconnaissance have to carry a small number the same as the starting number <strong>for</strong> the rally car on the<br />

top right corner of the windscreen that will be provided by the organisers. During reconnaissance, a<br />

maximum speed of 50 kph (31 mph) applies on all non-classified roads and tracks. It is strictly <strong>for</strong>bidden<br />

to recce against the direction of travel on a stage. Any infringement against these regulations will lead to<br />

exclusion from the event.<br />

6. Start numbers and starting order<br />

All participating vehicles have to be marked with the start numbers (on the front doors) and with the rally<br />

plate (on the bonnet) as given out during documentation.<br />

The starting order will be allocated and published by the organisers.<br />

7. Service park<br />

All service vehicles will be identified by a small number the same as the starting number of the rally car<br />

that they are servicing and a SERVICE sign provided by the organisers that are to be placed centrally<br />

on the top of the windscreen of the service vehicle. Entry to the service park is only permitted <strong>for</strong><br />

vehicles bearing those indications. Every team will be allocated an individual place within the service<br />

park <strong>for</strong> service. We would like to point out that all repairs must be done on a plastic sheet that is<br />

sufficiently large to prevent any liquids falling to the ground.<br />

10. Additional Notes from the Organisers<br />

Please be aware that reckless driving behaviour during reconnaissance of the stages as well as during<br />

the event itself endangers the whole sport of rallying. We strongly recommend that you take careful note<br />

of the regulations <strong>for</strong> reconnaissance given in Article 5 of this competitor’s in<strong>for</strong>mation and make sure<br />

that you comply with them. All infringements will be strictly punished.<br />
