The properties of DURAN ® are specified in ISO 3585. In contrast to 

other borosilicate 3.3 glasses, DURAN ® is notable for its highly consistent, 

technically reproducible quality. Very high chemical resistance, a high 

usage temperature, minimal thermal expansion and the resulting high 

resistance to thermal shock are its most significant properties.

DURAN ® GL 45 PRESSURE PLUS LABORATORY GLASS BOTTLE 

Where applications involving pressures 

or vacuums are concerned, the DURAN ® 

pressure plus is first choice. Thanks to a 

modified geometry, the bottle has a guaranteed 

pressure-resistance and consequently offers 

optimum safety both for user and content. 

• Special geometry based on ISO 4796 

• Vacuum or pressure resistance guaranteed 

from -1 bar to +1.5 bar 

• Safety tested by the TÜV, in accordance with

DURAN ® GL 45 HPLC LABORATORY GLASS BOTTLE 

The DURAN ® HPLC laboratory glass bottle 

represents a finished system: it comprises the 

pressure-resistant DURAN ® pressure plus 

laboratory glass bottle and a screw cap with 

four ports. This permits simultaneous feeding 

of three stations from one container. At the 

same time, a membrane filter can be optionally 

applied to the fourth outlet to permit sterile 

pressure equalization. It can be used with tube 

diameters of 1.6 mm (1/16 inch) and 3.2 mm 

(1/8 inch). Unused ports can be closed with 

a silicone seal. 

Variable system with lots of advantages: 

• All-in-one – laboratory bottle including 

4-port screw cap ready for immediate use 

(spare parts available separately) 

• Safe, inexpensive working – in closed 

systems, toxic gases are largely retained in 

the bottle and the evaporation of expensive 

substances is reduced 

• Universal system – screw cap with 

standardized GL 45 thread 

• PP cap – can be autoclaved together with 

the bottle and thus reused many times over

TAMPER-EVIDENT SCREW CAP FOR GL 45 LABORATORY GLASS BOTTLES 

The tamper-evident cap ensures the bottle 

content is securely stored, particularly when 

transporting valuable or critical media. When 

first closed, the plastic ring sits firmly over the 

bottle throat. If the cap is opened, the 

perforation tears and the plastic ring is retained 

around the throat. It is immediately and visibly 

apparent if the contents have retained their 

integrity. 

• For all GL 45 threads 

• Proven PP material 

• Temperature resistant up to +140 °C 

• Cap can also be used after the first 

untwisting or breaking of the perforations 

as “normal” screw cap 

• Available with lip (blue/red) or PTFE-coated

06 GLS 80 STIRRED REACTOR 

The GLS 80 stirred reactor is ideal for the widest possible range of mixing 

processes in laboratories, e.g. mixing liquids or dissolving solids. The 

connections available permit to introduce other media into the bottle or 

remove media during mixing. The whole assembly is autoclavable, so that 

it can be used in biological applications, for simple fermentation processes, 

for example. With the aid of components from the DURAN ® connection 

system extra media bottles can be connected or sterile pressure release 

can be fitted. 

• Drive using standard magnetic stirrers 

• Variable stirrer shaft, can be used for 1,000 ml and 2,000 ml

DG SAFETY CAPS 

DG Safety Caps are high-grade, flexible 

connection systems which have been designed 

specially for handling aggressive, gas-forming 

liquids. Available with 1, 2 or 3 connection 

ports with optional stopcocks, DG Safety Caps 

are particularly suitable for pharmaceutical and 

chemical applications. 

• Materials used: PP, PBT and PTFE 

• All parts coming into contact with media 

are from PTFE 

• Three different hose diameters 

(1.6 mm; 2.3 mm; 3.2 mm) can be connected 

• Pressure equalisation is possible through 

use of membrane filter 

• Outgassing of media is reduced by use of 

a one-way valve that decreases media loss 

and protects the user from vapours 

• A free moving PTFE core prevents rotation 

of the hoses when screwing onto the 

DURAN ® bottle 

• Unused ports can be provided with 

a blind cap 

• Optionally available with stopcock to prevent 

running dry of the hoses or air intakes during 

bottle changeover 

• DG Safety Caps are also available for bottles

DG Safety Waste Caps are ideal for safely 

collecting and storing liquid laboratory waste.

activated carbon filters, they increase safety

PREMIUM SCREW CAP 

Thanks to its highly resistant materials, the Premium Cap is optimally 

suited to utilize in processes which are both chemically and thermally 

demanding. Due to its very high temperature resistance, it is ideal for 

demanding sterilisation processes, such as hot-air or dry-heat sterilisation 

and depyrogenation at 260 °C. The materials used correspond to the 

specifications of the FDA/USP/ Ph. Eur. and JP. Consequently the Premium 

Cap is particularly suitable for use in the pharmaceutical, chemical and 

food industries. Due to the PTFE-coated silicone sealing disc, the 

Premium Cap is able to provide tight sealing of the bottle. Therefore it 

is ideal for storage and transport of sensitive products.
