Light crimson buds gradually open to<br />
reveal deepest velvety crimson petals<br />
at the centre of the bloom, while the<br />
outer petals remain lighter in colour.<br />
The rosette-shaped blooms are deeply<br />
cupped at first, becoming more<br />
shallowly cupped with time. Our<br />
fragrance expert, Robert Calkin,<br />
assesses the Old Rose scent of this<br />
rose as ‘warm and fruity with<br />
blackberry, blueberry and damson<br />
notes’. Good disease resistance. The<br />
younger leaves are red-bronze, giving a<br />
nice contrast.<br />
