Foreword<br />

This guide, titled ‘<strong>Continence</strong> <strong>Tools</strong> <strong>for</strong><br />

<strong>Residential</strong> <strong>Aged</strong> <strong>Care</strong>: An Education<br />

Guide’, was developed to assist Division 1<br />

Registered Nurses, Division 2 Registered<br />

Nurses/Enrolled Nurses, Personal <strong>Care</strong>rs/<br />

<strong>Care</strong>workers or Nursing Assistants/Aids,<br />

to use the <strong>Continence</strong> <strong>Tools</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Residential</strong><br />

<strong>Aged</strong> <strong>Care</strong>. It provides in<strong>for</strong>mation on how to<br />

conduct a continence assessment, develop<br />

a continence care plan <strong>and</strong> evaluate the<br />

effectiveness of care. It also includes a list<br />

of other continence resources.<br />
