General description<br />

Otakeho Beach is a small sandy beach at <strong>the</strong> bottom <strong>of</strong> high cliffs. The area is popular f<strong>or</strong><br />

fish<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

6.5 km west <strong>of</strong> Manaia.<br />

Taranaki, <strong>the</strong> only o<strong>the</strong>r sites be<strong>in</strong>g around Nelson)<br />

Public access<br />

Po<strong>or</strong> - Access to <strong>the</strong> cliffs above <strong>the</strong> beach is via f<strong>or</strong>med D<strong>in</strong>gle Road (which ends<br />

approximately 300 metres from <strong>the</strong> coast). A paper road cont<strong>in</strong>ues to <strong>the</strong><br />

coast and connects with a marg<strong>in</strong>al strip.<br />
