Foliar spray of 0.2% Copper oxychloride (Blitox)
effectively controls the disease. Reduces 80% leaf
rust disease severity
Disseminated to the field.
It is being widely used by the farmers in Eastern &
North-Eastern India, besides, during last year the
technology was percolated to 521 farmers in
Malda, Murshidabad & Birbhum districts
Foliar spray of 0.1% Carbandazim effectively
controls the disease. Reduces 70 – 80% leaf spot
disease severity. Disseminated to the field. It is
being widely used by the farmers in Eastern &
North-Eastern India. During the last year this
technology was percolated to 521 farmers in
Malda, Murshidabad & Birbhum
Foliar spray of 0.1% Plantomycin effectively
controls the disease. Reduces 60-70% leaf spot
disease severity.
Disseminated to the field.
It is being widely used by the farmers in Eastern &
North-Eastern India.
Forecasting model for Bacterial leaf spot has been
developed.
This is being advocated to the farmers, during the
crop periods.
During the last year this technology was percolated
to 521 farmers in Malda, Murshidabad & Birbhum
The sulphur application package developed as a
balanced use of fertilizer based on nutrient removal
pattern to optimize the quality mulberry leaf
production per unit area and to maintain the soil
fertility as well.
Extent of coverage: 4.5 acres covered under
validation of the technology
For increasing mulberry leaf yield under rainfed
condition. The echnology has been validated in DoT
(Seri.), West Bengal farms (2 Nos.) farmers’ field (21
Nos.) and RSRS farms (2 Nos.) and REC farms (2
Nos.) in 8 locations under 3 states (West Bengal,
Odisha and Jharkhand). Extent of coverage: 20
farmers’ field; 0.4 acres covered
Use of Napier grass mulch has been recommended
for conservation of soil moisture there by increase
in leaf and cocoon production.
Mulberry nursery raising technology has been
developed for temperate and sub-tropical
conditions of North India.
