The pedal free solar energy operated spinning has
the capacity to spin 325 cocoons and gives 280 g of
Katia yarn per day. It helps in reduction of
drudgery, produces better quality yarn and
improves economic return to reelers.
Cooking device has been developed to cook the
cocoons effectively and reduce labour requirement.
Widely accepted by handloom weavers in TN, AP
and Karnataka.. Many weavers have adopted the
technology by procuring the equipment under XI
Plan schemes. Application is filed for Patent.

8 Ends per basin with Jetterboute system have
been incorporated. It has adjustable speed pulley
and 1.3 kg of raw silk can be produced per basin /
shift of 8 hours. It produces 2A – 3A gradable silks.

persons and is a low cost spinning machine. The
machine is provided variable speed flyer and it is
easy to operate.
