Jesus was the first or forerunner of the "seed" of
promise and the Scriptures show that Satan was aware
of this fact and made many attempts to destroy the
Holy One, and has since persecuted the followers of
Jesus. It pleased the Father to seek a Bride for His
beloved Son. Of this Bride class St. Peter writes,
"Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious
promises, that by these ye might be partakers of
the Divine nature." (2 Peter 1:4) See THE HARP
