"As on that night do I seem to hear the<br />

voice of Japheth crying to me, ’Aloma,<br />

of the perishable Tebah, but to rest with<br />

thee in peaceful sleep in the dust of the earth<br />

until that happy day when we shall be<br />

awakened <strong>and</strong> enjoy forever the restored<br />

"And now I must depart. To you, O<br />

Javan, in whose arms it was foretold I should<br />

die, I commit the keeping of this journal,<br />
