"Cities arise in the wilderness l Waste<br />

places bloom like a garden. Multitudes fill<br />

the earth <strong>and</strong> subdue it.<br />

"Westward still press the sons of Japheth;<br />

whither the bright sun leads they follow.<br />

I see floating palaces like our Tebah upon<br />

the stormy seas; they depend not upon the<br />

wind but move by a power within themselves.<br />

They send messages that speed as<br />

the lightning. Upon the l<strong>and</strong> are chariots<br />

of iron <strong>and</strong> wood which go swiftly but<br />

smoothly along the highways. There are<br />

ships that fly like birds through the air.<br />

I hear the thunder of the nations as they<br />

clamor for freedom from the oppressive<br />

yokes of kings <strong>and</strong> rulers. They endeavor<br />

to be wholly free, every man a king as Adam<br />

before he sinned. In impotent anger they<br />

slay one line of oppressors only to come under<br />

the rule of another. Alas l Is there no<br />

eye to pity? But wait, I see that deliverance<br />

comes at last, though not by human<br />

beings. He who created our first parent
