through the long corridor, through the broad
doorway, down the aerial pavement, to their
place upon the golden throne.
Profound silence reigned throughout the
vast assemblage as Satanas removed from
his sceptre the diamond spray, placed it in
the coronet which encircled the brow of
Samoula, saying, "Thus do I create thee my
companion, the perfection of beauty, Bride
of Satanas, Queen of the Earth and Sun."
