The object of my coming was accomplished,
but when I would have fled, a misty
wall uprose on every side, and in its shade
my form vanished from sight. By this token
I knew I was safe, and repeating mentally
the words, "Over the righteous soul the
Devas have no power," I leaned against the
pillar and remained motionless.
