co-founder of the Affrilachian Poets, and a Cave Canem Fellow. His<br />

poetry appears in The Ringing Ear: Black Poets Lean South (University<br />

of Georgia Press), Callaloo, and Louisville <strong>Review</strong>, and is forthcoming<br />

in Zoland Poetry <strong>Vol</strong>ume II. Poetry editor for PLUCK: the J<strong>our</strong>nal of<br />

Affrilachian Arts & Culture, he is a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and<br />

now resides in Indianapolis, Indiana.<br />

Jill M. Drumm received her MFA in creative writing from Florida<br />

International University in Miami, and she teaches writing c<strong>our</strong>ses<br />

full time at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida. In<br />

2006 she received an Academy of American Poets Prize, the Marjorie<br />

J. Wilson and RUNES <strong>Review</strong> poetry awards, and a University of New<br />

Orleans Creative <strong>No</strong>nfiction Study Abroad Fellowship (Madrid). Her<br />

poems and essays have appeared or are forthcoming in MARGIE,<br />

TriQuarterly, RUNES, Florida English, and Creative <strong>No</strong>nfiction.<br />

Shawn Fawson is a current resident of Salt Lake City, Utah, where<br />

she works part time as a hospice chaplain and full time as a mother of<br />

three. Recently, her poems have appeared in Natural Bridge, Vallum,<br />

Tiger’s Eye, and Mid-American <strong>Review</strong>.<br />

Chanda Feldman received an MFA from Cornell University. Her<br />

poems have most recently appeared or are forthcoming in The J<strong>our</strong>nal,<br />

<strong>No</strong>rthwest <strong>Review</strong>, and Poetry <strong>No</strong>rthwest. She lives in San Francisco,<br />

California.<br />

Kim Foote, originally from New Jersey, received a 2002–03 Fulbright<br />

Fellowship to Ghana. Her writing has appeared most recently in<br />

Homelands (Seal Press), TransitionsAbroad.com, and I’ve Known Rivers:<br />

The MoAD Stories Project, an online project of San Francisco’s Museum<br />

of the African Diaspora. She has an MFA in creative writing from<br />

Chicago State University and is the recipient of a 2007 Hedgebrook<br />

writing residency.<br />

Yahya Frederickson teaches writing and literature at Minnesota<br />

State University Moorhead. A chapbook, Returning to Water, was<br />

recently published by Dacotah Territory Press. Other poems of his<br />

have appeared in Al-Masar, Flyway, Islamica Magazine, Quarter After<br />

Eight, Quarterly West, and River Styx.
