Male Lesser Antillean <strong>Iguanas</strong> (Iguana delicatissima) avidly defend territories. On the grounds of the<br />

Sunset Bay Club on Dom<strong>in</strong>ica’s leeward (western) coast, the population density is very high, result<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>in</strong> frequent contact between males with neighbor<strong>in</strong>g territories. The beads are permanent markers<br />

allow<strong>in</strong>g for <strong>in</strong>dividual recognition <strong>in</strong> a long-term study of Dom<strong>in</strong>ican iguanas (see IGUANA<br />
