33.13.9 +iIATO — Inactivity Timeout<br />

Syntax: <strong>AT+i</strong>IATO=n Permanently sets maximum inactivity timeout in<br />

seconds to signal socket disconnection in<br />

SerialNET mode. When signaled, iChip will close<br />

the connected SerialNET communication socket.<br />

In a modem environment, the iChip will also go<br />

offline following this event.<br />

Parameters: n = number of seconds of inactivity, on a connected<br />

SerialNET socket, to signal socket disconnection.<br />

Command Options:<br />

n = 0 .. 65535<br />

When iChip is in Server SerialNET mode (LPRT defined) and it<br />

goes online in response to a triggering event: RING signal,<br />

MM<strong>SE</strong>L/LM<strong>SE</strong>L signal pulled low or AT+I!SNMD -- timeout<br />

calculation commences only after the iChip opens the Listen<br />

port. When the Web server is activated (using AWS=1), an<br />

external reference to the Web server will restart the IATO<br />

timeout calculation.<br />

Default: 0 – No timeout limit.<br />

Result code:<br />

I/OK If n is within limits.<br />

I/ERROR Otherwise.<br />

<strong>AT+i</strong>IATO? Report the current inactivity timeout in seconds to<br />

signal socket disconnection in SerialNET mode.<br />

The reply is followed by I/OK.<br />

<strong>AT+i</strong>IATO=? Returns the message "0-65535".<br />

The reply is followed by I/OK.
