33.13 SerialNET Mode Parameters<br />

Nonvolatile Parameter Database<br />

33.13.1 +iHSRV | +iHSRn — Host Server Name/IP<br />

Syntax: <strong>AT+i</strong>{HSRV | HSRn} = server_name:port<br />

Sets the host server-name or IP and port number<br />

to be used in SerialNET mode.<br />

Use n=0 or HSRV to define the primary server.<br />

Use n=1 or 2 to define secondary servers.<br />

Parameters: n = 0 .. 2<br />

server_name = A server name or IP address.<br />

Server names must be resolvable by the primary<br />

or alternate DNS.<br />

port = 0..65535<br />

Command Options:<br />

server_name='' Empty: No server name defined. Serial data<br />

transmitted from device in SerialNET mode will be<br />

ignored until a remote client accesses iChip.<br />

server_name= server will be used in SerialNET mode to locate and<br />

establish a connection when serial data is transmitted<br />

from the device or when ―Auto Link‖ SerialNET<br />

modes are defined. The server name may be any<br />

legal Internet server name, which can be resolved by<br />

the iChip‘s DNS (Domain Name Server) settings.<br />

The server name may also be specified as an<br />

absolute IP address given in DOT form. If the<br />

primary server does not respond, iChip will try the<br />

secondary servers (if they are defined).<br />

port= It is assumed that the host server is "listening" on<br />

port number.<br />

Default: Empty<br />

Result code:<br />

I/OK If server_name is an empty or legal server name<br />

and port is within limits.<br />

I/ERROR Otherwise.<br />

<strong>AT+i</strong>{HSRV | HSRn}? Report the current host server and port as:<br />

:. If a server name does not exist,<br />

only will be returned.<br />

The reply is followed by I/OK.<br />

<strong>AT+i</strong>{HSRV | }HSRn=? Returns the message ‗Name/IP:Port‘.<br />

The reply is followed by I/OK.
