33.12.2 +iRRSV — IP Registration Host Server Name<br />

Syntax: <strong>AT+i</strong>RRSV=server_name:port<br />

Permanently sets the IP registration server name<br />

or IP and port number to be used in an IP<br />

registration procedure .<br />

Parameters: server_name = A server name or IP address.<br />

Server names must be resolvable by the primary<br />

or alternate DNS.<br />

port = 0..65535<br />

Command Options:<br />

server_name='' Empty: No IP registration server name defined.<br />

server_name=<br />

ip_registration_server will be used to locate<br />

and establish a connection after iChip<br />

establishes an Internet session connection as a<br />

result of an explicit <strong>AT+i</strong> command or as a<br />

result of automated Internet session<br />

establishment procedures. The dynamically<br />

assigned IP address will be sent to the server<br />

in ASCII form, after which the socket will be<br />

closed. See Socket IP Registration.<br />

port=<br />

It is assumed that the host server is "listening"<br />

on port number.<br />

Default: Empty. No server defined.<br />

Result code:<br />

I/OK If ip_registration_server is an empty or legal<br />

server name and port is within limits.<br />

I/ERROR Otherwise.<br />

<strong>AT+i</strong>RRSV? Report the current IP registration server name and<br />

port number. If a server name does not exist, only will<br />

be returned.<br />

The reply is followed by I/OK.<br />

<strong>AT+i</strong>RRSV=? Returns the message ‗Name/IP:Port‘.<br />

The reply is followed by I/OK.
