33.5.3 +iSMTP — Define SMTP Server Name<br />
Nonvolatile Parameter Database<br />
Syntax: <strong>AT+i</strong>SMTP[p]=server ...... Permanently sets the SMTP Server Name or IP.<br />
Parameters: server = An SMTP server name or IP address.<br />
Server names must be resolvable by the primary or<br />
alternate DNS.<br />
p = optional communication platform modifier for<br />
iChip Plus. Where, p=‘S‘ to force the (serial) dial-up<br />
platform and p=‘L‘ to force the LAN platform. p<br />
may be used to select any platform. If p is omitted,<br />
the active platform will be used.<br />
Command Options:<br />
server = '' Empty: No server name defined.<br />
server = SMTP_SRVR will be used to locate and<br />
establish an SMTP connection when<br />
sending Email messages. If SMTP_SRVR<br />
is a symbolic name, a DNS server will be<br />
used to resolve the IP address.<br />
Define +iSMA, +iSMU and +iSMP if the SMTP<br />
server requires authentication.<br />
Default: Empty. No SMTP server defined. To send Email<br />
messages, the SMTP server name must be defined ad-hoc.<br />
In a LAN environment, an empty SMTP server will<br />
acquire a value from the DHCP server (if DIP is 0.0.0.0).<br />
Result code:<br />
I/OK If server is an empty or legal IP address or SMTP<br />
server name.<br />
I/ERROR Otherwise.<br />
<strong>AT+i</strong>SMTP[p]~ server Temporarily set the SMTP server name to server.<br />
The permanent server name will be restored after<br />
completing the next session, whether the session<br />
was successful or not.<br />
<strong>AT+i</strong>SMTP[p]? Report the current SMTP server name. If a server<br />
name does not exist, only will be<br />
returned. The reply is followed by I/OK.<br />
<strong>AT+i</strong>SMTP[p]=? Returns the message ‗String/IP‘.<br />
