33.3.14 +iFLW — Set Flow Control Mode<br />

Syntax: <strong>AT+i</strong>FLW=n<br />

Parameters: n=0 .. 7<br />

Command Options:<br />

Sets the flow control mode.<br />

n= Bitmapped flags:<br />

Nonvolatile Parameter Database<br />

Bit 0 0 = Host S/W flow control, using Wait/Continue<br />

control characters.<br />

1 = Host hardware flow control based on ~CTS/~RTS<br />

hardware signals.<br />

Bit 1 0 = No Modem flow control.<br />

1 = Modem hardware flow control based on<br />

~CTS/~RTS hardware signals.<br />

Bit 2 0 = All hardware control signals: ~CTS, ~RTS,<br />

DTR and DSR are mirrored across iChip when<br />

transferring data transparently to the DCE.<br />

1 = Hardware signal mirroring is disabled.<br />

Default: ‗0‘ (Host software flow control, no modem hardware<br />

flow control)<br />

Result Code:<br />

I/OK If n is within limits. See Note.<br />

I/ERROR Otherwise<br />

<strong>AT+i</strong>FLW~n Temporarily set the flow control mode for one session.<br />

The permanent value will be restored after completing<br />

the next session, both if the session was successful or<br />

not.<br />

<strong>AT+i</strong>FLW? Returns current flow control mode followed by I/OK.<br />

<strong>AT+i</strong>FLW=? Returns the message ―0-7‖ followed by I/OK.<br />

Note: When setting Bit 0 (Host hardware flow control), the ~CTSH signal must<br />

be LOW (enabled), otherwise iChip will return I/ERROR (063).
