Dacey Ltd has been manufacturing<br />
orthopaedic footwear since 1972 and offers<br />
more than 100 different styles to suit a variety<br />
of requirements. Our factory in Cardiff boasts<br />
full manufacturing and clinical facilities as well<br />
as a unique specialist footwear centre open<br />
to the general public.<br />

Our<br />
Factory<br />
Our history lies in the production of bespoke<br />
footwear and we still use many of the traditional<br />
methods of manufacture to create the shape,<br />
style and size of the shoe that is perfect for you.<br />
We are still able to utilize many of the traditional<br />
methods of manufacture. This includes hand<br />
lasting, hand finishing and individual pattern<br />
cutting. We are also one of the few companies<br />
with the ability to manufacture full welted<br />
footwear.<br />
As our footwear range has modernised over the<br />
years so have our production methods. Our<br />
footwear uppers are now designed and<br />
patterns are cut using CAD CAM technology.<br />
Wherever possible our footwear is machine<br />
lasted and standardised sole units are used for<br />
production.<br />
Our state-of-the-art computer aided design and<br />
milling machinery enables us to manufacture all<br />
types of functional foot orthoses on site. <strong>In</strong><br />
addition to this, we provide our own range of<br />
semi-bespoke and modular insole systems for<br />
both the adult and paediatric markets.<br />
