MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.<br />
SALEM, <strong>Oregon</strong>, Dec. 2, 1879.<br />
Board of Directors of the <strong>Oregon</strong> Pioneer Associ<strong>at</strong>ion, met <strong>at</strong><br />
the Recording Secretary's office, pursuant to call of the President,<br />
<strong>at</strong> 10:30 o'clock, A. IiI., was called to order by Vice President,<br />
J. W. Grim.<br />
PresentJ. W. Grim, Vice President, F. X. M<strong>at</strong>hieu and<br />
Joseph W<strong>at</strong>t, of the Board, and J. Henry Brown, Recording<br />
Secretary, and several visiting members.<br />
AbsentM. Crawford, Presidents Thomas Montieth, of the<br />
Board, and J. M. Bacon, Treasurer.<br />
The question of loc<strong>at</strong>ion of place of holding the next Annual<br />
Re-Union being the first business, the following proposition was<br />
placed before the Board for consider<strong>at</strong>ion:<br />

DEAR SIR.At your request, I have seen a number of leading citizens, and<br />
am autherized to say th<strong>at</strong> if you will hold your next meeting of the Associ<strong>at</strong>ion<br />
<strong>at</strong> Portland, <strong>Oregon</strong>, the Mechanics' Pavilion, together with music for street<br />
parade and ball, will be furnished free of charge.<br />
