FOREST TREES OF THE PACIFIC SLOPE.

Wood, light, soft, rather coarse-grained, whitish to light indistinct brown;

its :age art not fully kKnown, but very porobtlb3y the largest trees are not over 350
yeairs old. A tree 8O int'hes ill diamneter showed an age of 285 years, and one 60)
