Scale markings are etched for accuracy. Scales are inclined,
permitting reading from above.
Each unit supplied with certification to meet specification established by the
Committee on Standardization of Tonometers of the A.A.O.O. Individually
packaged in fitted case with weights and test block.
18·132 Original Model, with 3 weights (5.5 gr., 7.5 gr. and 10 gr.) Plunger, Footplate
and Test Block are stainless steel; remainder made of rustless materials

'With the Allen Plunger Retractor, the plunger is held in retracted
position, flush with the surlace of the footplate until tonometer is in
place on cornea. This feature will prevent any possible damage to
cornea tissue.
