Securing an ETT: Intensive Care Clinical Practice Manual, Policy / Procedure R 4.1
v. Cut the ends at 2.5 cms. Never cut the ends short as it will unravel.
vi. Place foam pads under the tape at the edges of the mouth to prevent pressure
sores.
