Jorge Almazán<br />

orge Almazán is Assistant Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Architecture<br />

<strong>and</strong> Urbanism at Keio University. He graduated from<br />

the Madrid School <strong>of</strong> Architecture (Polytechnics<br />

University <strong>of</strong> Madrid) <strong>and</strong> he studied at the Technische<br />

Universität Darmstadt. He completed his Doctoral<br />

Degree at the Tokyo Institute <strong>of</strong> Technology (2007).<br />

In Tokyo he realized pr<strong>of</strong>essional collaborations<br />

with SANAA <strong>and</strong> Atelier Bow-Wow. In 2008 he held<br />

the position <strong>of</strong> Invited Pr<strong>of</strong>essor at the University <strong>of</strong><br />

Seoul <strong>and</strong> since 2009 he teaches architecture <strong>and</strong><br />

urbanism <strong>and</strong> leads a research <strong>and</strong> design laboratory<br />

at Keio University (Tokyo). On-going projects include a<br />

design research commission by the Japanese Ministry<br />

<strong>of</strong> Environment on Green Campus Design, <strong>and</strong> the<br />

research project ‘Measuring the non-Measurable’,<br />

at the International Keio Institute for Architecture <strong>and</strong><br />

Darko Radovic<br />

Darko Radovic is Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Architecture <strong>and</strong> Urban<br />

Design at Keio University <strong>and</strong> a Visiting Pr<strong>of</strong>essor at<br />

the United Nations University, Tokyo. His research<br />

<strong>and</strong> critical design practice focus at the nexus<br />

between environmental <strong>and</strong> cultural sustainability<br />

<strong>and</strong> situations in which architecture <strong>and</strong> urban design<br />

overlap. At International Keio Institute for Architecture<br />

<strong>and</strong> Urbanism he heads a major international,<br />

interdisciplinary research project “Measuring the non-<br />

Measurable”, <strong>and</strong> is on the Steering Committee <strong>of</strong><br />

the Global Environmental System Leaders Program.<br />

Darko’s research books include Green City (2005,<br />

Routledge; with Low, Gleeson, Green); Urbophilia<br />

(2007, University <strong>of</strong> Belgrade PAPS), Cross-Cultural<br />

Urban Design (2007, Routledge, with Bull, Boontharm,<br />

Parin), Another Tokyo (2008, University <strong>of</strong> Tokyo, ichii<br />

Shobou) <strong>and</strong> eco-urbanity (2009, Routledge). He can<br />

Tomohiro Suzuki<br />

Tomohiro Suzuki is a Master’s Degree C<strong>and</strong>idate<br />

at Keio Graduate School <strong>of</strong> Science for Open <strong>and</strong><br />

Environmental Systems. His designs have been<br />

selected by Japan Residence Students’ Design<br />

Award (2009), <strong>and</strong> Circos International Architecture<br />

Competition (2011). His research focuses at the<br />

relationship between physical form <strong>and</strong> social<br />

interaction in urban public spaces. He can be<br />
