Introduction:
Where’s Revival?
As I look across America, I see thousands upon thousands of churches. It is
interesting to me that there are so many churches and so little revival. Many
churches have great speaking, talented music, and the décor is incredible,
but you will never see people getting right with God! There is no preaching
against sin for them to do so. Some other things you won’t see are people
being healed and delivered of demons in these churches. Also, where are
the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit in many churches across this nation?
Bottom line, we are missing it somewhere. The church, overall, is not doing
ministry the way Jesus did it, and he is our example.
I look at the lack of power and fruit in the churches across America and the
rest of the world, and wonder why people are so content with things the way
they are. People act like nothing is wrong, even though no one is ever get­
ting saved, nor is the power of God in their midst! Then if someone does
come along and do things differently, they are persecuted! Now that is
amazing to me. The way the current church operates is ineffective for the
kingdom of God, and when someone does things differently, to at least try to
see better results, they are persecuted for it.
Well, despite the persecution I am sure is on the way for me, I am putting
together a book that will take a look at the pattern God has established for
revival. Someone may argue that there is no pattern. Of course, they won’t
be able to back up that argument with scripture, but I will address that
statement anyway. The Tabernacle of Moses was a dwelling place for God’s
manifest presence. Revival is simply people coming into the manifest pres­
ence of God. God showed how to get into his manifest presence through the
Tabernacle. So this is the premise for this book.
I hope to lay a foundation that will stir the church up to change. I have seen
awesome moves of God’s Spirit in ministry. There was a two­year revival
God gave me in a home for teenagers where I went to speak. I heard from
God about going and simply called the place. The leaders called me back
and asked me to come and speak. Two years later there were hundreds that
had gotten right with God, many healings, very many were delivered, and
many baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire. It was an awesome time. I remem­
ber a service when the entire congregation was under the power of God, and
I didn’t know what else to do. I was the only person in the building still stand­
ing! So I sat in a pew and waited for someone to get up! Then I prayed for
them again, and out they went. It was an incredible time. I remember a
young lady shaking on the floor and another girl came running up to me. The
girl that ran up to me didn’t know it was the power of God making the other
girl shake. She thought I needed to call 911! I thought it was cute and ex­

plained to her what was going on. I will tell some other stories of revival
throughout this book. It was great to see manifestations of the Holy Spirit like
falling or shaking etc…but what I was looking for was fruit in people. I
wanted to see people in love with Jesus and getting the sin out of their lives.
This is what I saw. To this day, I see people throwing away junk like ungodly
music CD’s, sinful videos, porn, drugs, alcohol, etc… because of the preach­
ing against sin and revival.
See, friend, revival will bring change to people’s lives. You can’t make peo­
ple love Jesus and get right. But if you put them in the manifest presence of
God, they will change. If we are going to see the fruit we need to see in
these end times, we must live in the manifest presence of God. I live in his
presence. That is all I want. I have had people get around me and be
shocked because of the power of God in the car as we were just driving
down the road talking! That is really what revival is about. It is about becom­
ing more in love with Jesus than ever before, and it is about becoming more
like him. He must be our focus, and being in his presence will bring the
changes in us that we all need to see.
So is there a blue print to get into God’s manifest presence? I believe there
is. I believe it is found in the Tabernacle of Moses and the Priesthood of
Aaron. So let’s go after God together, through these pages, as we go from
the outer court into the Holy of Holies by the blood of Jesus.

Chapter One
The Desperate
Need for Change
If there is anything that most Christians will agree with, it is that the current
church is not much like the early church. In this book I will talk about our
Jewish roots as Christians and our departure from true apostolic and prophetic
ministry, but first I need to talk about the desperate need for change. I
have made up my mind that I am going to be a minister open to new things
and change. If traditional church here in the west is not seeing the fruit of
Jesus’ ministry, there needs to be change. In this book you will hear my true
heart for God’s presence in my life and ministry. Many of my church members
will tell you that Fire and Ice is probably the most unique church they
have ever been in, but they will also tell you of the anointing like they have
never known before. I have gone back to the word of God to search out what
pieces of the puzzle are missing, and I have found many. Most of my congregation
will say they have never heard 90 percent of what I have taught
them before! These are the teachings laid out in this book. It is not teaching
new things, but rather, it may seem new to those who are traditional. I heard
my pastor say he is open to new revelation. That is awesome! We need
some new insight to take this last day harvest we are responsible for. Different
doesn’t bother me as long as it is God. God makes every snow flake and
finger print different. He is not uniform and boring. He loves diversity in his
creation. As the church, we should be some of the most open to uniqueness
and variety since we are the ones with a relationship to God. Every church is
like a different snow flake to God. He doesn’t want there to be extreme uniformity
like we have seen. I can actually tell you many times the denomination
of someone by the way he dresses and talks. That is sad. God wants us
to be the unique individuals he has created us to be. The hatred and/or fear
of diversity, of what God has instituted, is the very thing that has created the
great evil of racism. This same divisive demonic spirit is what keeps the
church divided by denominational walls. So as we overcome the fear of being
different, it will help us move into the unique call that is on our lives.
The fear of change
As I have stated already there needs to be some radical changes in the local
church to prepare a wineskin for revival. At the same time, I know that most
congregations fear change more than anything else. Change will cause
some to leave churches and persecute what is going on. This will call for
strong leadership that will move with God, even though they are persecuted

and lose members from their church. If we love God more than our reputa­
tion as ministers, we will be willing to pay that kind of price for revival, be­
cause revival is what is in God’s heart for his people in these end times. In
Jeremiah 48:11­12 we read:
Moab has been at rest from youth, like wine left on its dregs, not poured
from one jar to another­ she has not gone into exile. So she tastes as she
did, and her aroma is unchanged. But days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will send men who pour from jars, and they will pour her out; they will
empty her jars and smash her jugs. Then Moab will be ashamed of
Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed when they trusted in Bethel.
The way wine was purified in these times was to have it sit in a jar for a while
and the dregs (impurities) would settle to the bottom, then the wine would be
poured into another jar leaving the impurities behind. This process would
continue until the wine was purified. This speaks of change. Notice how this
“emptying of the jars and smashing of jugs” was what caused Moab to be
ashamed of Chemosh, their false god. Many churches have made their tradi­
tion an idol. They come to church to worship this ritual, not God. Change will
bring a purifying effect to them. Change is how God purifies his people.
A new wineskin
The last thing we want to be is an old wineskin. A fresh new wineskin was
flexible and able to move with change. An old wineskin was so rigid it would
burst open if new wine was poured into it, because the new wine would ex­
pand, and the old wineskin couldn’t handle the pressure of that change.
There is an interesting truth Jesus brings out in Mark 2:18­22:
Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. Some people came
and asked Jesus, ‘How is it that John’s disciples and the disciples of the
Pharisees are fasting, but yours are not?’ Jesus answered, ‘How can the
guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? They cannot, so long as
they have him with them. But the time will come when the bridegroom will be
taken from them, and on that day they will fast. No one sews a patch of un­
shrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the new piece will pull away from
the old and make the tear worse. And no one pours new wine into old wine­
skins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the
wineskins will be ruined.
No, he pours new wine into new wineskins.
It is very ironic that the reason for the fasting of John’s disciples and the
Pharisees was for the messiah to come! Here he is staring at them in the
face when they asked him this question about fasting. Religion blinds peo­
ple. This is the truth God gave to Saul of Tarsus when he blinded him on the

Damascus road. Old garments always speak of religion in scripture. Jesus
states that you cannot take an old garment with holes in it, and fix it with a
new patch, that has not shrunk through washing yet. When the garment is
washed the patch will shrink, and make a bigger hole. The problem with
many churches is their resistance to change. Their old garment of religion is
not working. Where is revival? Where are the souls getting saved? Where
are the healings and miracles? So there is a hole in their garment! They
want to keep their religion and have Jesus fix their hole by sending revival
into their religious tradition. In other words send revival the way that will be
comfortable to them. So it will fit into their mold, or maybe even so they can
control the move of God. Jesus will not send revival into their dead religion.
Jesus’ solution to the problem is for them to THROW AWAY THE OLD
GARMENT AND GET A NEW ONE! This will require radical change, but it is
worth it. We have to get to a place like Elisha who was so desperate for a
move of God in his life he would do anything. In 2 Kings 2 we read Elisha
was willing to leave Gilgal (a place of dead religion). He went to Bethel which
is the house of God. Then he went to Jericho which is a place of intense
warfare. Last, he went to the Jordan which is a place of death to self. At Jor­
dan he was given Elijah’s mantle. Notice what he did in 2 Kings 2:12 “Then
he (Elisha) took hold of his own clothes and tore them apart. He picked up
the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and went back and stood on the bank of
the Jordan. Them he took the cloak that had fallen from him and struck the
water with it. ‘Where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah?’” Elisha was willing
to tear off the old to put on the new that God had for him. This launched him
into an anointing that far exceeded Elijah!
Jesus also stated that old rigid wineskins cannot handle a new wine. I am
reminded of how desperate John Kilpatrick was for a move of God. He was
the pastor of the great Pensacola revival­ which is still going on I might add.
It never was about man, so when God brought new leadership in, the revival
continued. Pastor John Kilpatrick was willing to go with change. He knew the
old methods weren’t bringing the results he wanted to see. Dick Rueben
came to the church and taught on the patterns of the Tabernacle and Priest­
hood. John Kilpatrick stated that this laid the foundation for the revival to
come. Pastor Kilpatrick began to change Sunday evening services to power­
ful prayer meetings. The church would come in and partake of the Lord’s
Supper. They would have worship and prayer. Most Charismatics and Pen­
tecostals know that revival comes because of prayer but are too lazy to ac­
tually pray. But pastor Kilpatrick was willing to totally change the Sunday
night services to welcome a move of God. Sure enough revival came. There
were other changes made like the teaching on the Lord’s Supper weekly and
speaking blessings. I will talk about these things later. My point is that as a
pastor, he was willing to see change take place so revival could come.

Living in a day of extremes

There is a desperate need for change if we want to see revival in these end
times. This is a day of extremes. There will be extreme darkness in the world
while extreme glory in the church (for those that are willing to receive it).
There will be extreme spiritual warfare and extreme revival that brings in an
extreme end time harvest of souls. In these extreme times, we need an ex­
treme move of God to give us the strength to endure and conquer. We need
the wind of the Spirit of God in our sails to launch us into the purposes of
God. We need an extreme anointing to break the yokes of satanic bondage
on people’s lives. I have written a book on warfare and deliverance called A
Warfare Manual for Ministers. All Christians are called to some level of min­
istry. So if you are a Christian, the book is for you. It speaks of the extreme
warfare and satanic works we will face in these end times. Friend, we are
going to see Satanists, witches, hard core drug addicts, and the sexually
perverted getting saved. We, as the people of God, better be able to deliver
them! Where else are they going to go for that? Revival will bring the anoint­
ing we need to break these end time works of the enemy.
So let’s be willing to move with change so we can see the revival God has
for us.

Chapter Two
Our Jewish Roots
The patterns of the Lord never change. This is because God himself
never changes, and his patterns reflect his nature. Now in saying that,
God does change methods. For example, we see in the 1950’s there
was a great revival of healing that in many ways restored the healing ministry
to the body of Christ. I know that there were always healings happening,
but this revival brought healing to the body on a very large scale. During this
time many revivalists would go and set up large tents to house the people.
Billy Graham started his meetings this way. The tent meetings, with the music
of that time, were methods that have changed over the years. I know
some of that still goes on here and there, but overall this method has been
done away with in America.
God’s patterns
A pattern is something established by God. It is not a method, or even a fad,
but it is a truth that is eternal. We see these patterns in the Tabernacle of
Moses and its furniture, the Priesthood of Aaron, the five major offerings of
Israel, the Law given by Moses, and the seven major feast days. These were
all established by God. They were not methods of the day, but rather revela­
tions of heavenly truths which are eternal. Many gentiles have wanted to
throw away the Old Testament like a piece of garbage. They obviously don’t
understand that Jesus came to fulfill the Law not do away with it as we read
in Matthew 5:17.
Jesus fulfilled the law
I know some that are reading this might be thinking I am leaning toward put­
ting people under the law. That is obviously not my intent. That fear may be
why many have been deceived by the enemy to disconnect from our Jewish
roots altogether. The western gentile church has abandoned its roots. If a
tree is disconnected from its roots, it will wither and die. We see this principle
in Matthew 13:6 when Jesus says, “they withered because they had no root.”
Also, in Romans 11:16­17 we read “If the part of the dough offered as first
fruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the
branches. If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a
wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in
the nourishing sap from the olive root.” The olive always represents the

anointing of the Holy Spirit. The reason for much of the lack of anointing in
the western gentile church has to do with being cut off from our Jewish roots.
I personally believe that much of the bad doctrine today is also a result of
being cut off from our Jewish roots. The early church continued in the Apos­
tles doctrine. These were Jewish men that had no “New Testament.” They
were only preaching and teaching how Jesus fulfilled all the Law and the
Prophets. This was the foundation of their doctrine.
Satan has stolen from the church
Satan has stolen much from the church. If a foundation of a house is re­
moved, the house will be very unstable and eventually collapse. Satan has
removed much of our foundation in the western gentile church, and when he
has sent storms our way, much of the church ended up divided and seriously
damaged. If we had a strong foundation this would not have happened.
I believe in these end times, the Lord wants to restore all the enemy has
ever stolen from the church. It concerns me how many churches don’t have
a clue about our Jewish heritage. In fact, many don’t even understand the
deliverance ministry. Jesus, being a Jew ministered to the Jewish people
healing and deliverance. This is a heritage we as Gentiles have had passed
down to us from Jesus. I heard a minister recently talk about deliverance like
it was just a fad. I agree that the abuse of the prosperity message is a fad
that will hopefully go away before too long, but Jesus’ healing and deliver­
ance ministry is not just a fad. These are things satan has stolen that are
being restored back to the church!
The glory
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:7­8 “Now if the ministry that brought death,
which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israel­
ites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory fading
though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?” The
power of God is very different than the glory. The word for power in the
Greek is dunimus. It is where we derive the word dynamite from. It implies
an explosion of power. When you feel the power, it feels like electricity. The
glory of God of the other hand is from a Hebrew word chabod. Chabod
means “weighty or heavy.” When people feel the glory, they feel something
heavy on them. The glory is also very peaceful. Many people feel sleepy
when the glory comes on them. The glory of God was lost in the Garden of
Eden from mankind. It was one of the first things stolen from man by satan.
God created man in his image. When he created Adam and Eve, he created
them naked. The word for naked in Genesis 2:25 is arom in the Hebrew. It is
translated, “partially nude.” The word for naked in Genesis 3:7 after the fall
of man is erom in the Hebrew. Erom is translated “completely nude.” If you
look in the Tabernacle and the Priesthood you will see that God actually

hates nudity. We see the priests had to wear underpants called a “linen un­
dergarment.” If they went up on the altar without this on, the Bible says they
would die because their nudity was exposed before God. So why would God
create Adam and Eve naked if he hated nudity? Also, what happened after
the fall that they went from partially naked to completely nude? Part of God
creating man in his image had to do with the glory. We read in Psalm 104:1­
2 that God wraps himself in light. This has to do with a clothing of glory.
Adam and Eve were naked before the fall, but they were actually clothed in
the glory of God. When they sinned, the glory lifted. For all have sinned and
fall short of the glory. I will talk more about the priestly garments and the
glory later in this book. I wanted to make a point that the glory was lost at the
fall, but was given back to mankind through Israel.
What we lose without our Jewish heritage
So we see that we are cut off from the anointing, the glory, sound doctrine,
and our foundation when we are cut off from our Jewish roots. It is little won­
der the western gentile church is no where near where the early church was
in power and victory! Much of the western gentile church has withered and
died spiritually speaking. There is no life or anointing.
A new apostolic day
The last point I want to make is about an apostolic shift I believe is coming.
The early churches apostolic headship was based out of Jerusalem. Other
apostolic teams were all over. We are very familiar with Paul and Barnabas
who were apostles to the gentiles, but the center headship was in Jerusa­
lem. We see Paul and Barnabas recognizing this and submitting to that
headship in Acts 15. After the great persecutions of that time, the apostolic
headship shifted to Rome and became the Roman Catholic Church. I believe
that God never intended for this to happen. When this happened, the church
was cut off from its Jewish roots and became completely gentile. This led
into the dark ages! I believe before Jesus returns we will have apostolic
movements planted all over the world, but the headship will once again be in
Jerusalem. I also believe that our Jewish heritage will be regained and given
proper honor.
As you move into this book, you will see patterns God has established and
Jesus has fulfilled. If you apply the patterns of God to your life and ministry,
you will begin to see a flow of the anointing like never before. You will also
begin to experience the glory for yourself. My first encounter with the glory
was when a man of God called me out in a revival meeting. He said God
spoke to him about passing a mantle on to me. When he prayed for me, I
went out under the glory. I was pinned to the floor and couldn’t move for a
long time! That weight on me was the glory. I have looked into the patterns

of the Tabernacle for years, and these truths have transformed my life and
ministry. I know they will yours as well.

Chapter Three
Your Life a Dwelling Place for God
The main revelation of the Tabernacle is the fact that it is a dwelling
place for the manifest presence of God. What an incredible awesome
opportunity we have to be able to come into the manifest presence of
God! One time I was mentioning revival to a man that was not from a Pentecostal
background. He stated, “Well, isn’t God everywhere?” He was responding
to the fact that I was referring to God coming into a church in a
powerful way. I knew that he did not understand what I was saying. He had
never experienced God in this way. I believe this is the ultimate message of
the Tabernacle. It is a place of meeting with God. It is a place of basking in
his presence.
The prescribed way to come
Just like in the natural, there is a prescribed way to welcome and entertain
royalty. This is a powerful concept to grasp for some with a western gentile
mentality. If I were going to have a president or king over to my house, I
would clean up and put my best china out. I would not have a messy house
and eat off paper plates! Just like we need to have a healthy respect for roy­
alty coming to our house, we need this healthy respect for the presence of
God. The Jews understand the holiness of God, and how much he hates sin.
There is a tremendous disrespect for the holiness of God among most west­
ern churches. There is a message of “abused grace.” The God they present
is so tolerant toward sin and understands hypocrisy! This is simply not true.
Hebrews 10:28­29 states “Anyone who rejected the Law of Moses died with­
out mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more se­
verely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the
Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the
covenant that sanctified him and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?” I am
ready for men and women of God to arise that actually have backbone. I am
ready for people to quit preaching this wimpy gospel and focusing on minor
issued like prosperity. When will the true men and women of God rise up
who will actually preach the whole counsel of God?
The Jewish people had a heritage of understanding God’s holiness with
great respect. Therefore they were given the glory of God. The glory is
God’s manifest presence. It is weighty and awesome. This is what many
churches are lacking today. Oh, they have the anointing, some giftings, and
a little power, but they don’t have the glory. The main reason why is sin and

compromise. Yet most pulpits are silent against preaching against sin. There
was a well known minister of a huge church that told my pastor with tears
that he knew many in his church were going to hell. He knew their lives out­
side church did not match their lives in church! Friend, if ministers would
begin to preach with fire like a John Wesley or a Charles Finney against sin,
people would repent. When I was in Finland, I had the opportunity to preach
to thousands of young people. Hundreds filled the altar with tears in their
eyes. There was true repentance because of the preaching against sin. See,
I don’t understand someone coming to church lifting their filthy hands that
have just fondled a woman that is not their wife! I don’t understand how
someone can sit through a service and worship God just to go home and
watch a movie with people taking their clothes off and having sex! What an
abomination to God! I marvel at Christians that can sit through a movie that
has G___D___ this and S___O___B____that! Others will watch witchcraft
and occult themes like Harry Potter, or listen to music that has this sort of
thing in it like nothing is wrong! What has happened to the western church?
Oh, how we have fallen from the one who has called us. There is little won­
der the glory is far from these people. The Bible warns that all have sinned
and fallen short of the glory! Not that they have fallen short of the anointing.
And when God gives gifts (like the gift of healing), he does not take it back.
This is why many will say to Jesus on that day we prophesied, freed people
from demons, and performed miracles. Jesus will respond I never knew you!
You practiced lawlessness (Matt 7:21­23). Then he will cast them into hell.
How could such a thing happen? People took lightly the holiness of God.
Why is the glory not in our lives?
God will not allow his glory to be where sin and compromise are. It would be
a double standard for God’s glory to dwell in the home of someone who al­
lows things across their television or stereo that Jesus would not allow in his
life. The glory is supposed to be coming to the end time church. Many will
miss it, while others receive it. Why? The reason is because many do not
want to give up the world.
What does the glory mean to us?
The Bible says that the glory will be an armor of light to God’s people in Ro­
mans 13:12. The glory can be a canopy of protection to Christian homes as
seen in Isaiah 4:4­6. Just like in the natural, when we had a wound inflicted
on us, we will apply pressure to it to ease the pain. The weight of the glory
can be that pressure in these difficult end times that we live in. The glory can
also be in our churches drawing many to a deeper more meaningful relation­
ship with the Lord. But just like I tell my church, God will not have a double
standard. He will not put his glory in a church full of people that go home to
sin and compromise.

So what is in your home?
What we allow in our lives and home has so much to do with the manifest
presence of God being in our lives or not. In Leviticus 14:33­53 we see one
of the jobs of a priest was to cleanse homes. The Canaanites heard about
what God did in Egypt and were scared of the Jews. Scholars believe that
they took their gold and silver when they heard the Jews were coming to
fight them and melted them down into little gods that they worshipped. They
took these little demon gods and would bury them under the home or embed
them into the walls for protection. When Israel came in and invaded the land,
they took homes from these inhabitants. God would put an outward mildew
(or leprosy) on the walls of a home like this to warn them something was
wrong. That is why the priests were to take the home apart, so they could
find anything like this that had been planted by the previous owners. Also, in
Deuteronomy 7:26 we see a warning of having cursed objects in our homes.
Not only can worldly, sinful, or demonic things in a home cause the glory to
leave, but they can also allow demons in! Do you allow occult materials in
your home? Anything linked to the occult, false gods, or idolatry will bring a
powerful curse with it and allow demons access to your home in a major
way. Is there order in your home? Does the wife submit to the husband and
children obey their parents. To submit means to ask permission and obey
the decision with a good attitude. If this is not going on, it is blatant rebel­
lion against God’s holy word and will cause the glory to lift and Jezebel spirit
in the home. Do you go to bed angry with unresolved issues? This can open
a portal for spirits of strife, anger, unforgiveness, and divorce right into the
home. Any portal for the enemy to gain access is a “gate of hell.” Do you
tolerate dishonesty or disrespect in your home? Parent, we deserve what we
tolerate. All you have to do is take your belt off, and administer some corpo­
ral punishment in love. Do you allow negative, hurtful, or destructive things
to be spoken in the home? Negative words are curses and can release evil
spirits, while positive words are blessings that can release angels to be at
work. Do you have things in your home that put you into bondage and con­
trol you? This could be things like illegal drugs, beer, whiskey, or tobacco
products. Do you allow pornography in your home? If you want demons in
your home, watch Playboy Channel late at night. They will come right
through the television screen, their feet will hit your carpet, and in they come.
When these perverse spirits come, they come to stay. You will notice it very
hard to not meditate on sexually perverted thoughts. Do you allow demonic,
perverted, or evil music of any kind to be played in your home? Do you allow
R­rated movies? Is there television or movies that have foul language, sex­
ual content, excessive violence, or occult themes? Friend, just common
sense here, can you picture Jesus with a bowl of popcorn watching that filth?
I don’t think so! Just remember the Bible says to guard your heart with all
diligence for from it flows the rivers of life. And the Bible also states that the
eyes are the window to the soul. What you watch and listen to gets in your
soul. It can muddy the waters of your soul quickly. It can also act like a leech
that sucks the anointing right out of you. Is there racism allowed in your
home? Is there gossip, backbiting, or slander in you home? These things

offend the Spirit of God. They will certainly cause the glory to leave and even
be replaced by the demonic. With this in mind, I hope you are beginning to
see why the glory is not much in the western gentile church. But our Jewish
roots help to bring this truth to us today. So the first truth to revival is to clean
out your home and life. This will make room for a move of God. Prepare your
life for the glory to come.
After I clean out my home what can I do to welcome the
glory?
I am glad you asked. The blood of Jesus was what took the priest from the
outer court all the way to the Holy of Holies. The first step is applying the
blood. I take the Lord’s Supper daily in the morning before I pray. You don’t
have to. The Bible says, as often as you will, concerning communion. So I
choose daily. Some scholars believe the many in the early church took
communion daily. We know from scriptures that the early church took the
Lord’s Supper weekly for certain. We see this in Acts 20:7. Smith Wig­
glesworth took communion daily throughout his life and ministry. I don’t want
to get into too much teaching on the Lord’s Supper, because I will cover this
in detail in a later chapter. When we take the Lord’s Supper in our homes it
is an incredible thing. We see that it applies the blood over our lives and our
homes. This was seen in the Passover of the Old Testament, which was a
shadow of what we know as communion today. I have also heard of people
taking the fruit of the vine on the tip of their finger and placing it on the door­
posts of the rooms of their homes applying the blood by faith. This is very
powerful and will definitely bring the glory quicker than anything else we can
do. Remember, when the priest would place the blood on the mercy seat in
the Holy of Holies, the glory would come down to rest on that blood. I have
also heard of communion being buried on the property to dedicate it unto
God and make it holy ground. This is also very powerful and will bring the
glory on that land. The blood of Jesus is applied by faith. Some times I use a
substance, like the fruit of the vine, and other times I simply speak that the
blood be applied to someone or something. The act is not as important as
the faith behind it.
The next thing we can do is anointing with oil. The blood is like a “No Tres­
passing” sign. It makes something holy unto God. The blood will cause land,
a home, or a person to now be God’s property, but the anointing oil sets
something apart to be used by God. That is the difference­ even though they
work together. The anointing sets someone apart to be used by God. So you
can also go throughout your home or land rubbing oil on the doorpost of your
home or pouring it out on land to dedicate it to God. Many people that are
actually doing something for God undergo satanic attack. If you are facing
satanic warfare, that is a very good sign! You are a threat to the enemy. I
heard from God while facing major warfare about cleansing and dedicating
my land and home to God. I walked the property line and on the four corners
of the property I buried communion, poured out anointing oil, and drove a

wooden stake in the ground with specific scripture on it. Then in the center of
the land I did the same. Last, I went through my home applying the blood
and oil throughout the house. I have since that time had prophecies of be­
ings trying to get on my property, but being unable to.
Another thing that will bring the glory is blessings. Blessings are all through
scripture and incredibly powerful. A blessing is positive words you want to
see happen in the future that can be spoken over a person, home, land, or a
situation. You can anoint a bedroom lift your hands like a priest and speak
over it “The Lord bless you that the presence of God be in you and those
that sleep in you find sweet rest and sweet dreams. I bless you in Jesus
name.” Prayer and prophecy are powerful, but blessings are altogether dif­
ferent and very powerful. I will also discuss blessings in great detail later.
Blessing your dwelling, family, and life will help bring the glory and revival.
How many of you have heard the Lord inhabits the praise of his people. How
true that is! Having anointed worship playing and making you home a place
of prayer and Bible study will help bring the glory very quickly.
What about satanic things?
Some people move into a home that literally has demons in it. Maybe there
was a murder, witchcraft, sexual perversions, or some other thing that
opened the door, but regardless of whatever opened the door, they are
there. The blood can cleanse that property. Then you can take authority and
break any curse or work of satan there. After you do that, you can command
any demons to leave immediately. You have authority. Don’t ever be afraid
of satan. After applying the blood, and anointing your land and home with oil,
lift up your voice and say something like this: “satan your legal ground is
cancelled. I am the occupant of this home now. I break all satanic curses or
works from past sins and command any demons on this property to get out
now! Now heavenly Father I ask you to cleanse this property and seal it off
in Jesus’ name, amen.” The key to any deliverance whether it is a person or
a home is to cancel the legal ground, which is the sin that opened the door
to the enemy. Then break the works of satan. These are things like curses,
addictions, bondages, strongholds, etc… Last, expel the demons at work.
This can be easily done by any Christian.
What I do daily because of warfare
We all go through seasons of great warfare. When these times come, I have
learned to do some things that the Lord has taught me. They have been a
strength to me in times of battle.

Personally, I take communion daily. It applies the blood to my life. I also
have found that my prayer times are more rich and powerful because of
communion. Second, I usually anoint myself with oil. This may seem differ­
ent and radical to some, but if you have been through the warfare I have,
you would be open to this. I have witches regularly praying against me. Of
course, I find the battle exciting. Also, make sure and put the armor of God
on daily. This armor is real! It is not pretend. Demons and angels can see if it
is on you or not. Last, speak Psalm 91 out loud over you, your family, and all
you own. This is very powerful.

Chapter Four
The Gate
Probably the greatest concern I have is over the lack of the preaching
of the pure gospel in America. Many people think of me and think of
the deliverance ministry. I know that God uses me in that, but my
heart is for souls and revival. This is probably why God had me under Steve
Hill’s ministry for a few years. When you turn on Christian television what do
you see? Do you see the gospel being preached? No, what you see is a
prosperity message and feel­good sermons! I can’t find that kind of preaching
in the word of God. This is also one of the greatest reasons there is no
power in the church.
The gospel is the power of God
Let’s look at some scriptures. Romans 1:16 says, “I am not ashamed of the
gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who
believes.” So Paul equates the preaching of the gospel with power. 1 Corin­
thians 1:18 states, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who
are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corin­
thians 2:4 goes on to say “My message and my preaching were not with
wise and persuasive words, but with the demonstration of the Spirit’s power,
so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.” The
last scripture I want to bring out is Mark 16:20. It reads “Then the disciples
went out and preaching everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and
confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.” The reason signs are
not accompanying preaching today is that people are not preaching the word
of God. They are certainly not preaching the cross and the blood. There is a
fear of offending people. Friend, I encourage to do a study on sermons in the
word of God. They are fiery, very offensive, and preached with conviction.
People tried to kill Jesus several times before the cross. Why? He offended
people by his sermons. These fiery sermons will be anointed and bring in a
great harvest of souls.
Entering the gate only
If we want the anointing, we can’t be afraid to offend people. There’s only
one way to heaven, and the Lord’s opinion about things is the only opinion
that matters. The gate was the only way into God’s presence. This speaks of
Jesus as the only way to heaven, and the gospel as the only message of

true salvation. The fact that the gospel is so “one way” will offend many. The
curtain that surrounded the whole Tabernacle was pure white linen. The only
place where this differs is at the gate, which was located on the East Side.
The fact it was located on the East Side is prophetic of Jesus’ dying outside
the eastern gate of Jerusalem and his return from the east. The gate stood
out, because it was a beautiful mixture of interwoven colors. The colors were
blue, purple, scarlet, and white. This is also symbolic. The blue speaks of
Jesus as the Son of God coming down from heaven as seen in the gospel of
John. The purple speaks of Jesus’ royalty as the king of the Jews as seen in
the gospel of Matthew. The scarlet speaks of the suffering savior as seen in
Mark’s writing. Last, the white speaks of Jesus as the righteous pure man as
seen in Luke. So we see the gospels prophesied in the gate.
Do you really know the Lord?
As I sat in the chair speaking with Pastor Steve, the first thing he asked was
if I knew Jesus. He then prodded to see if I have a relationship with him.
After that, he wanted to know if I live holy. I was taken aback at first because
I am a Christian and honestly wasn’t expecting him to ask these questions.
Man, that meeting changed my life. Of course, I know the Lord, have a true
relationship with him, and I do live holy. But the fact that he would ask me
those questions inspired me. Many times this man of God will ask other min­
isters, “So what has Jesus been talking to you about?” He is trying to see if
they are close to the Lord and hearing from him. I believe this is one reason
that God has lifted up Steve Hill in these last days. A pastor on staff at
Heartland Fellowship Church (of which Steve Hill is Pastor) said he asked
the Lord what made Pastor Steve different than other ministers. The Lord
replied, “He lives holy.” The staff pastor went on to say that he would watch
Pastor Steve as they were out together. One time at an airport a half­
dressed attractive woman was walking toward them. He watched as Pastor
Steve turned away and looked a different direction from the woman. Pastor
Steve was guarding his eyes, and his heart from lust. He did not know the
staff pastor was watching him. This type of integrity is what the Lord is look­
ing for in his men and women.
Matthew 7:19­23 “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and
thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone
who says to me ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he
who does the will of my father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that
day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive
out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I
never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers.’”

So I could minister and still be in hell one day!?
This is one of the most sobering scriptures in the word of God for me. Here
are MANY people that knew the Lord, they were religious, and operated in
the supernatural, but ended up in hell. How could such a thing happen? I
know some would say “they were never saved to begin with”. Well, you can’t
cast out demons unless you are saved. If you don’t believe me ask the
seven sons of Sceva (Acts 19:14­16). As a matter of fact, you cannot truly
prophesy or perform miracles apart from Christ. These are gifts given to be­
lievers (1 Corinthians 12).
The two complaints Jesus had about these people were that he did not know
them, and they were evil doers. This is what Pastor Steve was trying to
make sure I understood. He wanted to know if I have a living relationship
with Jesus. Do I know him intimately? Is he speaking to me? Also do I live
holy? Jesus called them evil doers. Some translations read “workers of iniq­
uity.” The Greek word there is anomia. Anomia means “lawbreaker.” These
are people that believed they can live in sin and still make heaven their
home! That is not the way this thing works, friend. I am so scared for some
ministers. They get behind holy pulpits and operate in the miraculous only to
go home and look at pornography. Hell will be their home if they don’t re­
pent.
So I ask you minister. Do you really know Jesus? Is he speaking to you? Are
you living holy? You had better make sure!
Six sins to ensure a place in Hell
It is time for ministers to stand behind holy pulpits and point their fingers out
to the crowds saying, “You are guilty of sin, now come to the altar and get
things right with God!” We need that fire again. Visitor friendly churches and
non offensive messages are a joke. These ministers are people pleasers not
God pleasers! The apostle Paul prophesied about them 2,000 years ago
when he wrote, “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound
doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather unto them a great
number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear (2 Timothy
4:3).” Friend, this is scary. Are you a minister that is pleasing God or man?
Most of the time you will not be able to do both. I encourage you to do a
study on sermons in the Bible. They were all bold, fiery, in your face, con­
frontational, and offensive. John the Baptist said, “You brood of vipers! Who
warned you to flee the coming wrath? Produce fruit in keeping with repen­
tance (Luke 3:7­8).” We will be held accountable for the message we
preach. We better be telling people the truth and the whole counsel of God!
1 Corinthians 6:9 “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the king­
dom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters

nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor
the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the king­
dom of God.” Galatians 5:19 “The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sex­
ual immorality, impurity and debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, dis­
cord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy;
drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you as I did before, that those who
live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Revelation 21:8 “But the
cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral ,
those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars­ their place will be in
the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” Proverbs 6:16­19
“There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable (an abomina­
tion) to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a
heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a
false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among
the brothers.”
This is the word of God. This is what needs to be preached to keep people
out of hell. The Bible says, “My people perish because of a lack of knowl­
edge (Hosea 4:6).” Let me list for you the six sins that will ensure someone a
place in hell whether they call themselves a Christian or not. This nation is
filled with people who call themselves Christians but don’t live the life. They
don’t know the Lord, but think they do. This is scary. But first, I want to say
something concerning gossips that sow discord among the brethren. The
Bible says it is an abomination to God. Also in Galatians 5:19 dissension is
listed as a work of the flesh that will send someone to hell. This is serious
business. These people are stumbling blocks that keep churches in so much
discord they can’t win souls! These people are keeping others out of heaven.
You can’t tell me God won’t judge that severely. Here are the six sins that
will ensure someone a place in hell. They are derived from the passages
written above (1 Cor 6:9; Gal 5:19; Rev 21:8):
1. Worship of false gods, idolatry, occult practices
2. Sexual immorality (lust, or any sexual activity outside of marriage) God
will only honor sex between a man and his wife in marriage. Anything
else is sexual immorality and will send you to hell.
3. Murderers (hating others, or abortions)
4. Dishonest (liars and thieves)
5. Lovers of money (greedy or covetous)
6. Drunkards (substance abusers)
Preaching with conviction
This type of preaching convicts people and brings them to repentance.
Those that preach this are among the faithful ministers. The reason many
don’t is because they are afraid to offend people. Another reason is insecu­
rity. We cannot base our security in what man thinks, but only in what Jesus
thinks of us. I want to also bring out that when a woman dresses in a way

that causes others to lust, she is in sin. The Bible says it would be better for
her to have a millstone tied around her neck and cast into the sea than to
cause God’s little ones to stumble! If she is causing young Christians to
stumble, she will be judged very severely one day. One of Leonard Raven­
hill’s famous sayings was, “If you take all the ingredients of Christianity and
pour them into a funnel, what would come out the bottom is obedience.” We
must be faithful, obedient ministers. Let’s break off any intimidation and
preach with boldness and fire! Are there people in your church on their way
to hell?
Setting standards
Where we set the standard of holiness, people will rise to meet that stan­
dard. If our preaching sets a low standard that is where people will live! What
a responsibility we have. I preach a very high standard of holiness. I also set
a very high standard among those that I allow in leadership. If they don’t
want to live up to that standard, they just simply won’t be in leadership under
my authority. We have so lowered the standard in America that it is sicken­
ing. It is time to get back to the standards of God’s holy Word.
Will you be standing in a pile of ashes?
1 Corinthians 3:10­15 “By the grace of God given to me, I laid a foundation
as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one
should be careful how he builds. For no one can lay any foundation other
than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If any man builds on this
foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw, his work will
be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be re­
vealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work. If what
he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will
suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the
flames.”
What a sobering scripture! We could labor for fifty years in the ministry and
have a great reputation with great accomplishments to only stand in ashes
on judgment day! I believe that three things will determine whether we are
standing in ashes or a mountain of jewels. They will be obedience, complete
surrender, and motives of the heart. Obedience and surrender have to do
with death to self. We have got to die in Christ to be resurrected in new life.
Are there things God has asked you to do you are not doing? Are you truly
fully committed to him?

Motives of the heart

A minister can flow in God’s power in an awesome way. The multitudes
could be healed and set free, but if he has pride in his heart, he could lose
the whole reward on judgment day. Let me give you an example, God has
given me some powerful moves of the Spirit. I have seen services where
people had to be carried out because the power of God was so overwhelm­
ing to them. I have seen the whole congregations and leaders out under the
power of God and people healed and delivered of demons. The fact of the
matter is that God did this because the need is so great. He obviously did
not do this because I am so great, because I am not. We must guard our
hearts. Pride of the heart will cause ashes on judgment day. Do you want
God to move through you so you can be honored and receive accolades? Or
do you want Jesus to be glorified? A friend of mine once said, “It is hard to
stay hidden.” We must know how to not exalt ourselves, but remain hidden
and let the Lord do the raising up if he wants to. Another thing, if we do not
minister in love we are wasting our time. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 13 that
what we do without love is done in vain. Do you really love and have com­
passion for those you are ministering to? Oral Roberts tells a story of minis­
tering one night to thousands and praying for people for a very lengthy
amount of time. He was exhausted and spent. On his way out that night a
woman kept pulling at his coat and asking him for prayer. He turned in anger
and gently touched her on the head. He only prayed for her so she would
leave him alone. She was healed but Oral Roberts said the Lord spoke to
him and said, “I healed her, but you will not have that reward.” It was like
Moses who missed the promise land because he hit the rock in anger when
the Lord said to only speak to it.
I pray that Jesus helps me to see with his eyes, hear with his ears, and un­
derstand with his heart. I pray for his love and compassion for those I minis­
ter to. I ask him to help me minister in true humility, unconditional love, and
to bring him all the glory. I want to be hidden. I don’t want to be standing in a
pile of ashes on judgment day. The motive of the heart is a huge issue with
God. Motives lead to thoughts, and thoughts lead to actions. So if the motive
is wrong, eventually there will be wrong actions.
Insecurity is a false humility. People that are insecure are actually very pride­
ful. They are more concerned about what people think of them, rather than
what God thinks. That is prideful. God wants us to be bold, but to make sure
and give him all the glory.
One of the wisest prayers I ever prayed was that God would judge me now
so that it would be easier for me on judgment day. He then began to show
me all the evil in my heart. See, we will be judged as Christians at the Judg­
ment seat of Christ.

Another Gospel
THE GATE
I have heard two other gospels preached in America. This scares me. One is
a gospel that “Jesus will make your life better if you come to him”. This is not
in the word! As a matter of fact, usually things get worse because satan is
now battling people. This gospel has caused many to be swept into hell.
Remember, we must keep the foundation the early church laid and not build
on another. With this gospel a heathen that smokes weed, sleeps around
every weekend, and makes good money will say “Cool, Jesus will make
things even better for me.” Well, he will then come down to the altar and ask
Jesus into his life, but the motive of his heart is wrong. He needs to be con­
victed by the Holy Spirit and realize he is a sinner that needs a savior. Then
he needs to get the sin out of his life, if he is going to have Christ. You can’t
have Jesus and your sin.
The other gospel I have heard is this crazy notion “that you can live in sin,
play games with God, and because you call yourself a Christian you will
make heaven.” America has believed this foolishness that God is sooooo
passive, and understands our sin. That is not the word of God! Jesus said,
“Repent, or you too will perish!” (Luke 13:1­9) These other gospels are pow­
erless to change lives, because they are not the true gospel that is the
“Power of God unto salvation”. The true gospel is, we are sinners that are
going to hell if we don’t accept the price Jesus paid for us on the cross. Then
we must turn away from our sin and follow Jesus with all our hearts to the
end, even if it costs us our lives. People have to realize they are sinners and
going to hell before they can truly accept Jesus’ sacrifice. Otherwise the
gospel won’t make sense to them.
Helping people understand they are sinners
There was a sign that said, “If Jesus is the answer, what is the question?”
See people don’t understand they are sinners. I talk to people all the time on
the streets about Jesus. Most of them will say things like “I am a good per­
son. God wouldn’t send me to hell.” So I then use the Ten Commandments
to help them out. I start asking them: Have you ever lied, or stolen anything?
Have you ever looked lustfully upon a woman? Jesus said that is adultery.
Have you ever hated someone from your heart? Jesus said that is murder.
Have you ever wanted (coveted) what someone else had? Have you ever
put something as more important in your life than God? That is an idol to
you. Have you ever not been going to church the way you should be? Then
you haven’t kept the Sabbath. Have you ever dishonored your mom or dad?
Have you ever used God’s name as a cuss word? This is blasphemy and
very serious. Then I proceed to ask them. Now that you have done all these
things are you guilty or innocent of sin before God. They will usually admit
they are sinners. Then I will ask them “will God send you to heaven or hell.”
Most will admit hell will be where they are heading. Now, I can explain to
them the good news that Jesus died so their sin can be forgiven. Like soap

in the natural makes you clean, Jesus’ blood will wash all your sin away and
make you clean before God. Now that they understand they are sinners that
need a Savior, they appreciate the gospel.
The scary thing is some of these I witness to have heard the second fake
gospel I mentioned above. When I ask them if God would send them to hell
they say, “If he is such a loving God, he will understand my sin”. I respond
by explaining to them they just broke the second of the Ten Command­
ments. They have used their imagination to create a false god that would
send them to heaven even though they are sinners that refuse to repent.
I am blunt with people. I have people get an attitude sometimes. More times
than not, people appreciate you helping them understand what true Chris­
tians believe. But those that get an attitude I tell them “Look, Jesus said
there will be very few people in heaven. He said there is a narrow gate that
leads to heaven and few find it. There is a broad gate that leads to hell and
many find it. You cannot live in sin and play games with God expecting to
make heaven. The only people that will be there are those that truly know
the Lord and live a holy life.” They may act like they don’t care, but they will
think about what you said. It is time for us to get a new baptism of fire and be
as bold as lions! God wants his people to have their heads lifted up and
speak with authority. We are God’s servants.
Completely sold out
Are you willing to die for what you believe? I mean how committed are you?
How committed are the people under your ministry? In the days we are mov­
ing into, there will be a major rise in the persecution of Christians. I sense it
even as I am writing. Michael Brown said, “You are going to see increasing
opposition to the gospel message in America in the days to come, because
the gospel message is going to become increasingly Biblical. The gospel
message is going to become increasingly radical and revolutionary, and the
gospel message is going to become a threat to this world’s system. The
gospel message is going to become an increasing threat to worldliness and
materialism and greed, and the gods of sports, entertainment, and fashion.
The gospel is going to become an increasing threat to the rising tide of sa­
tanism, and false religions, and the results will be the same as in the book of
Acts—uproar, persecution, and a great moving of God.”
Are you a martyr?
Those that have laid down their lives for the gospel inspire me! God is look­
ing for those that want to glorify his son in the earth. The true message of
the gospel will be accompanied by great power. The Lord confirms his word
with signs (Mark 16:20). The Lord will raise up those that preach the cross
and make room for the miraculous in their ministry.

THE GATE
A martyr is first a martyr in his heart before he dies in the body. What will it
be like for you, if one day you are in heaven and there is a young man is
sitting next to you named Titus? You ask him to tell you his story and he
says, “Sure, I had a difficult life. I grew up in Rome. My family all served Je­
sus. We heard of him through a man that was going door to door telling peo­
ple about Jesus. One of my neighbors was healed of tuberculosis as this
man prayed for him. It was a few years later that my mother was captured by
the Roman guards. The poured oil on her and I watched her be burned alive
on a wooden stake because Jesus was her God. When my father came
back home from business he heard the news and wept bitterly. The guards
came and took him away as well. I was forced to watch him be put in a coli­
seum and lions ate my dad. The guards then took me and beat me trying to
get me to renounce Jesus, but I couldn’t do that! He was everything to me. I
was then placed in that same coliseum the next day. I saw doors being
opened on every side. Lions came out of every door. I was never so afraid in
all my life. I died that day and was carried by angels to be with Jesus here.
Now that I have told you my story, what is yours?” Oh friend, we need to
have a story. Not all of us have the honor of dying for the gospel in the body
as a martyr, but we must have a story of totally selling out to Jesus. Some­
times it is harder to live for Jesus than to die for him. What the Lord is look­
ing for is obedience and death to self. We must be fully committed to him in
obedience to the call even if it costs us our lives. I heard a Middle Eastern
woman that is a pastor’s wife say, she was not afraid of the terrorists be­
cause they could only kill her once. I love that.
160,000 people where martyred in 1996 for the cause of Christ. Persecution
is rising with each year. How ready are the American Christians to this kind
of persecution? I would have to say many would abandon the faith if it came
down to their life. The eleven disciples all gave their lives for the gospel.
Andrew was killed in Greece on an X shaped cross feeling unworthy to die in
the same way as his Lord. Bartholomew died preaching in India. He died a
martyrs’ death being flayed alive with knives. James the elder was martyred
first. He was slain by Herod Agrippa having his head cut off. James the
lesser was crucified in Egypt. His body was cut into pieces. John the revela­
tor was spared from death by a chalice of poison someone gave him. He
died of natural causes on the Isle of Patmos. Jude was shot by arrows on
Mt. Ararat. Matthew became a missionary and disappeared during his la­
bors. Peter was killed crucified upside down, because he felt unworthy to die
as his Lord had died. Philip died by hanging. He requested that his body be
wrapped in papyrus and not fine linen, because he was not worthy for his
body to be treated as the Lord’s body was. Simon the zealot died on the
mission field as a martyr according to tradition. Also, according to tradition
Thomas was commissioned to build a palace for the king of India. He was
killed with a spear as a martyr.
Here is another story about Andrew. “When Andrew, through his diligent
preaching had brought many to the faith of Christ, Aegeas the governor
asked permission of the Roman senate to force all Christians to sacrifice to

and honor the Roman idols. Andrew thought he should resist Aegeas and
went to him, telling him that a judge of men should first know and worship his
Judge in heaven. While worshipping the true God, Andrew said, he should
banish all false gods and blind idols from his mind.
Furious at Andrew, Aegeas demanded to know if he was the man who had
recently overthrown the temple of the gods and persuaded men to become
Christians­ a ‘superstitious sect’ that had recently been declared illegal by
the Romans.
Andrew replied that the rulers of Rome didn’t understand the truth. The Son
of God, who came into the world for man’s sake, taught that the Roman
gods were devils (demons), enemies of mankind, teaching men to offend
God and causing Him to turn away from them. By serving the devil, men fall
into all kinds of wickedness, Andrew said, and after they die, nothing but
their evil deeds are remembered.
The proconsul ordered Andrew not to preach these things any more or he
would face a speedy crucifixion. Whereupon Andrew replied, ‘I would not
have preached the honor and glory of the cross if I feared the death of the
cross.’ He was condemned to be crucified for teaching a new sect and taking
away the religion of the Roman gods.
Andrew, going toward the place of execution and seeing the cross waiting
for him, never changed his expression. Neither did he fail in his speech. His
body fainted not, nor did his reason fail him, as often happens to men about
to die. He said, ‘O cross, most welcomed and longed for! With a willing mind,
joyfully and desirously, I come to you, being the scholar of Him which did
hang on you, because I have always been your lover and yearned to em­
brace you.’” 1
This man was ready to die before the time came. Jim Eliott once said,
“When it comes time for you to die, make sure that is all you have to do.”
Andrew was a martyr in his heart long before he saw that cross in front of
him. Here was a man that fled the night Jesus was arrested. What happened
to him? He had received the baptism and infilling of the Holy Spirit. A holy
boldness came into his life. Notice how the Bible always says something like
Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, spoke boldly (Acts 4:8). We need a fresh
baptism of fire and a boldness of the Holy Spirit in our lives to live this Chris­
tian life.

Chapter Five
The Power
of a Blessing
This is one of the most life changing teachings the Lord has ever
brought down my path. I have seen such a dramatic change in every
aspect of my life and ministry by applying the truths I am about to
teach on in this chapter. After entering the gate which represents the pure
gospel with power, one would go into the outer court of the Tabernacle. The
main emphasis of the outer court was blood and water. So what was it that
flowed from Jesus’ side? I will teach more on the brazen altar and laver in
later studies, but I want to focus on a very common activity that happened
daily in the outer court. This activity is the spoken blessing from a Priest over
a family leader. The Bible records in Numbers 6:22­27 the Priests would
speak this blessing over God’s people: “The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious unto you; the Lord
turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
What is a blessing?
A blessing is a word, or series of words that are positive, and are what you
want to see come to pass in someone’s life. The word “bless” in scripture
implies to cause someone to excel, prosper, abound, or do well. You can
look over the course of someone’s life and see if they were blessed or
cursed. Someone that is under a curse will have something working against
them their whole life. Someone that is blessed will appear to have a golden
touch. Everything they touch will turn to gold, and everything they do will be
successful.
God’s blessing
There is something in scripture called “The Blessing.” We see this in Psalm
133:3 when it says God “bestows his blessing” or commands his blessing as
in other translations. This commanded blessing is a blessing straight from
God. People that have God’s blessing are those that obey his word. When
we walk in obedience to the word of God, he will command his blessing over
us. This commanded blessing traveled from Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob, to
Joseph. We can see it pass over the other brothers and land on Joseph. I
want God’s blessing. In scripture we see there are basically nine curses for
disobedience to God’s word and seven blessings for obedience to the word

of God. These curses and blessings are seen in Leviticus 26 and Deuteron­
omy 28. The nine curses are: humiliation, barrenness or unfruitfulness, men­
tal or physical breakdown (mental or physical illness), family breakdown (di­
vorce, strife, and family alienation), poverty or famine, defeat, oppression,
failure, and God’s disfavor. These are from God directly and are related to
disobeying his word. The seven blessings are: exaltation, health, reproduc­
tiveness, prosperity, abundance, God’s favor, and victory over enemies.
Blessing of authority figures
In the scriptures, an authority figure had the power to bless those under his
authority. It was a very powerful thing when they did. A natural authority fig­
ure would be someone like a father, uncle, or granddad. A spiritual authority
figure would be someone like a pastor or priest. In scripture, the blessing of
a father was the most powerful and envied of all blessings in regard to the
family. We see this among the patriarchs. The most famous story of the pa­
triarch concerning a blessing was when Jacob stole Isaac’s blessing from
Esau. Even though Jacob was in sin, the blessing was such a powerful
thing, it rested on his life from that day forward. God has a destiny for all of
us, but most people’s feet stray from that path. If an authority figure would
bless his children from their youth, the feet of that child would be pointed and
guided into their destiny. Even now it is not too late. You can bless your
child, nephew, or grandchild. Even if their feet are far from their destiny in
Christ, it will begin to turn their feet. It may take some time. Just like a speed
boat turns quick, an answered prayer can be very quick in being answered.
But just like an ocean liner may take miles to turn, a blessing will take some
time to turn things around. Give it some time, and you will see the power of a
blessing to turn situations around. The same principal is true for pastors. If
you want to see positive change, don’t complain, but speak blessings over
your congregation, ministry, finances, and future. Now let’s talk about turning
difficult situations around.
The power to see change
Negative people will live in frustration, because they speak curses over eve­
rything surrounding their lives. In 1 Peter 3:9 we read “Do not repay evil with
evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so
that you may inherit a blessing.” We will inherit or receive a blessing when
we begin sowing blessings. For example, you may have a boss that is very
difficult. If you will begin to lift your hands his direction, while in your personal
prayer time, and begin to bless him, you will see change. You could speak
something like this: “I bless you Bob. I speak over you that I will find favor
with you, and we will enjoy working together. You will not continue to micro­
manage. I speak favor on our relationship in Jesus’ name.” Friend, don’t be
surprised when change begins to happen. Remember the principal that
blessings take some time to see the effect. When you first begin to bless it is

kind of like dry ground that has some rain falling on it. The ground will soak it
up quickly. If you begin to saturate your life with blessings, it will become like
standing water. Also, this will work for difficult situations. Lift you hands while
in prayer and speak over situations the change you would like to see. I do
believe in being a positive person that speaks positively about the circum­
stances around our lives. This is a protection, but what I am speaking of
when I say blessings is a deliberate placing of words that are released by
faith. These words spoken by faith will bring change.
Our homes
One of the things that totally changed my life was speaking blessings over
my home, land, and vehicle. The husband should bless his wife and chil­
dren. After this he should bless his home, land, and vehicle. I have gone into
every room and anointed it with oil, then I would lift my hands as a priest and
speak the positive words that I wanted to see. Over bedrooms you can
speak sweet rest and pleasant dreams. Over kitchens one could speak
blessings of health and healthy food and drink. Over restrooms one could
speak a blessing of health. Over dining and living rooms, one could speak
blessings of pleasant fellowship. I have a blessing I speak over the home
and land in general. I will say “The Lord bless you to be a sanctuary of rest
and renewal, a haven of peace, and may sounds of joy and laughter grace
you in Jesus’ name.” Someone could bless a vehicle with protection and the
interior with pleasant fellowship. These are simply suggestions. You can use
whatever blessings you want. As you do this, don’t be surprised when your
life becomes much more warm and loving.
Blessings connected with revival
John Kilpatrick (the pastor over the Pensacola revival) was given a great
revelation about blessings that he says transformed his life and ministry. I
have heard him say that speaking blessings helped prepare for the move of
God. He started in his home with his family, and revival broke out in his
home before it did in his church. He then began to take communion weekly
with his church and speak a blessing over the congregation from the pulpit. I
have some blessings listed in my book, A Warfare Manual for Ministers.
What we must understand is that negative words are curses. When we
speak them it can release demons to be at work to help bring to pass what
was spoken. When we bless, it releases angels and the power of God to
bring the good to pass we would like to see. Some people will truly want to
see positive change, but they will constantly speak curses and prevent the
positive change from coming. I have seen a fast move of God with my
church I pastor. The reason is because I speak blessings in my prayer time
over the church, ministry, finances, and I weekly bless the congregation from
the pulpit. This has released swift victories and major positive change. There

are times to pray, times to prophecy, and times to bless. We must learn the
difference and be led by the Spirit.
The protection of blessings
If we saturate and cover our lives with blessings, it will block the will of satan
from coming to pass. The Bible shows us in Numbers 22­24 satan cannot
curse what God has blessed. Blessings are so powerful that they can cancel
out a curse. If someone had a curse that was over their finances, a man of
God could bless their finances and see things turn around for them. If your
family, home, land, vehicle, job, finances, and ministry are blessed, how is
satan going to curse you! There is already a blanket of blessing he is up
against.
Areas to bless
I have mentioned parents blessing children and pastors blessing congrega­
tions. I also would like you to notice that names have meaning. God
changed Abraham’s name from Abram to Abraham. Abram means, “high
exalted father.” Abraham means, “high exalted father of many nations.”
Every time someone simply said his name, they were blessing him into his
destiny. Jacob’s name was changed to Israel. Jacob means “deceiver.” You
can see how his being called turned his life that direction. We see proof of
this when he deceived his father. God changed his name to Israel. Israel
means, “to reign like God.” He went from a deceiver to reigning with God! I
would be very careful about what I name my children.
When children move out from home, they need their parents to bless them
on their way. We see this in Genesis 24:60. Rebekah was leaving home to
marry Isaac. Her brother and mother came out to bless her on her way. They
spoke over her “Our sister, may you increase to thousands upon thousands;
may your offspring possess the gates of their enemies.” You know to this
day the people of Israel have increased to thousands upon thousands, and
they still posses the gates of their enemies.
When spouses begin their lives together, they need to begin with blessings.
It is hard enough today in marriage as it is. It would be so powerful to see
the two fathers get up and speak a blessing over the couple during a wed­
ding. What a way to begin their lives together. We see this in the book of
Ruth chapter 4:11­12. It reads “Then the elders and all those at the gate
said, “We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman who is coming into
your home like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the house of Israel.
May you have standing in Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem. Through
the offspring the Lord gives you by this young woman, may your family be
like that of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah.” I italicized “be famous in
Bethlehem” because Jesus the Christ was a direct descendant of Boaz and

Ruth. He was famous in Bethlehem! Can you see the power of a blessing
here. I heard John Kilpatrick say he will not perform a wedding anymore
unless the parents agree to bless their children in the ceremony.
As a blessing has this much power to travel down family lines, a curse also
has that kind of power. Noah, in his anger, curses his son Ham in Genesis
9:18­29. Exactly what he spoke came to pass. As a matter of fact, the de­
scendants of Ham became the Canaanites that Israel conquered and op­
pressed. Friend we must be careful what comes out of our mouths!
Changing our mouths
The Bible says in Matthew 12:36 we will give an account on judgment day
for every careless word we have let slip out of our lips. That means every
negative word we have spoken over our children. That is for every pastor
that has spoken curses over God’s people. We will answer for it one day.
The good news is that we can erase these words, be forgiven, and start
fresh. You can say out loud, “I renounce every careless, negative, destruc­
tive, or hurtful word that has ever come out of my mouth. I cancel its power. I
destroy it now in Jesus’ name. I ask you father to forgive me for these words.
Wash them away in Jesus’ blood. I also bind the demons that have been at
work because of them. I bind you and cast you into the Abyss where you
belong in Jesus’ name!” I have led people in a prayer like this, and I have
heard so many reports of changed lives! I encourage you to guard your
mouth from being negative, and also to begin to deliberately speak bless­
ings. This will truly bring major change to your life.

Chapter Six
The Power
of the Cross
After entering the four colored gate, which represents the pure gospel,
the next step is to visit the bronze altar which speaks of the cross.
Remember, we are taking a journey into the manifest presence of
God. The truly wise know that all of Christianity revolves around the cross.
So many are being deceived in these last days into getting off­center in their
messages. The Christian message is not all about money, or prophecy, or
deliverance, or healing. The central message is the cross and the blood. If
we get back to this, we will see the true power of God change lives once
again. This is a key to revival. The bronze altar mentioned in scripture is a
picture and type of the cross. We see bronze representing judgment. This
was the place animals were cut into five pieces and burned before God. Jesus
was pierced in five places and was “burned” with the judgment of God
for the sin of humanity. The bronze altar was four sided. Four is the number
of the earth. We see the four seasons for example. There were four horns on
the bronze altar­ one at each corner. Horns speak of power throughout scripture.
So we see the cross has power to change the whole earth. If we will
once again keep the focus on Jesus and the cross, we can see the power to
change the earth.
The message of the kingdom
We see in Matthew 24:14 the Bible says, “this gospel of the kingdom will be
preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end
will come.” I believe in the power of the cross to change lives in many ways.
I will discuss this at the end of this chapter when I talk about the seven
places Jesus shed his blood. But I want to mention the message of the king­
dom first. We have preached the gospel of salvation which is the most im­
portant message of the cross. We have preached a message of healing, and
done a poor job of preaching the message of deliverance found at the cross,
but we have not preached the gospel of the kingdom. Jesus is the king who
is coming from the east to set up his kingdom in Jerusalem to reign for one
thousand years. He is coming to take over. We are right now those that are
preparing this one thousand year reign. What an awesome responsibility we
have been given! When this gospel of the kingdom has been preached in the
whole world, the end will come.

The baptism of death

The reason for a lack of power in the body of Christ is because of a lack of
death. For resurrection life and power to flow, there has to be a death that
comes first. How can there be a resurrection without a death. In Galatians
2:20 Paul states “I have been crucified with Christ.” I love the passage in
Philippians 3:10 where Paul goes on to say “I want to know Christ and the
power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, be­
coming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection
of the dead.” This is what Paul is talking about. If we will die daily, we will
begin to walk in a power that can raise the spiritually dead and the physically
dead. A crucified life will bring the resurrection life and power through some­
one. This is the message of the cross that we are to take up daily. We must
learn to die to self and find the true life and liberty of a resurrected life. In
these last days martyrdom will increase greatly. I believe it is one of the
greatest honors to be given to a Christian to lay down his life for the one who
laid down his for us. But it is sometimes even harder, and a greater call, to
live a crucified life, dying daily, than to be a martyr. The Lord is looking for
true martyrs who are martyrs every day of their lives.
The seven places Jesus shed his blood
Now I want to talk about the power of the cross to change lives. There are
seven basic places Jesus shed his blood in regard to the cross. These
places release tremendous power to us today to overcome in every area of
our lives.
The garden of Gethsemane
This was the first place Jesus shed his blood. We read in Luke 22:41­44 “He
withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, ‘Fa­
ther, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be
done.’ An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. And
being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of
blood falling to the ground.” We see that Jesus began the bleeding here. In
the garden of Eden Adam basically said, “Father not your will, mine be
done.” Jesus shed his blood here connected with the ability to choose the
will of God over our own. Our will is the part of our soul that is our decision
maker. This part of our soul is affected by the selfishness we inherited from
Adam and Eve. It is in our sinful nature to put ourselves before God and
others. In our flesh we are very selfish, but Jesus shed his blood here to
break that curse. We can now, by the blood, make unselfish decisions and
be like Jesus when he said, “not my will but yours be done.”

The whipping post
THE POWER OF THE CROSS
Those that have seen the movie “The Passion of the Christ” can attest to the
obvious suffering that Jesus went through. We read in 1 Peter 2:24 “He him­
self bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins, and
live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.” We can see
the front of the cross is for our sins to be forgiven and the back of the cross
is for our healing. Jesus paid for disease and sickness to be healed.
The crown of thorns
Mark 15:17 says, “They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a
crown of thorns and set it on him.” The curse to man after the fall was that
he would toil by the sweat of his brow to just eat. Also, the land would be
cursed and bring forth thorns and thistles. Before the fall of man, the original
text seems to indicate that Adam would weed and cultivate the Garden of
Eden. This was not toil, but it was joyful labor. We all have a garden to culti­
vate. Our garden is what we are called to do for the Lord. We will never truly
be satisfied until we are doing that. But there is difference between joyful
labor and toil. If we are toiling, we are striving and it is very frustrating. Toil
implies that something is working against us, making provision difficult. I
believe the curse of poverty was broken by the crown of thorns. The Lord
wants our labor for him to be joyful and free from frustration. This is certainly
not to imply that we will not have trials, persecution because of the gospel,
and face spiritual warfare. This is part of the Christian life. If we are walking
in obedience to what we are called to do, we should be seeing fruit, provi­
sion from the Lord and a lack of frustration in our labor.
Nails in the hands
In Mark 16:18 we read “they will place their hands on the sick people, and
they will get well.” We also see in Matthew 10:1 Jesus “gave them authority
to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.” Jesus paid
for there to be a tremendous amount of authority and power in our hands.
We should be seeing the supernatural through our hands. If we are not,
something is very wrong. This is very much a common part of Christianity.
We see the “laying on of hands” as listed among the very basics of Christi­
anity in Hebrews 6:1­3. There is also a blessing released on the “works of
our hands” because of Jesus taking the nails in his hands. I don’t know
about you, but I want the works of my hands to be blessed.
Nails in the feet
There is a powerful story of Jesus casting out a legion of demons from a
man in the region of the Gerasenes. The story goes on that as soon as Je­

sus’ foot touched the soil, “a man with an evil spirit came from the tombs to
meet him.” There is so much authority and power in Jesus’ feet. When they
touch a location, hell trembles. This is the type of authority Jesus paid for us
to walk in. We should be walking into places and the kingdom of hell trem­
bling. We see this kind of walk in the apostle Paul. His feet were in Ephesus
while a great revival was happening. In this revival we see Paul was known
in hell. In Acts 19:13­16 a demon spoke through a man and said, “Jesus I
know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?” Friend, I want to walk in
such authority and power, when I walk into Wal­Mart, hell trembles! If you
don’t think this way, you serve a small God. We need to be taking land for
the kingdom of God. Let’s begin to walk in the authority purchased for us at
the cross. Remember that both Abraham and Joshua were promised that
where the soles of their feet treaded, it would be given to them.
Spear in the side
Priests in the Old Testament could not minister with scabs. Scabs are un­
healed wounds. I have known people that were never healed and became
greatly deceived by the devil who exploited their wounds. Flies speak of lies
in scripture and satan is called Beelzebub “Lord of the Flies.” Satan will send
his demons to pick at and poke wounds in people. This many times can
cause deceptions to creep in. It is vital to pursue emotional healing in these
last days. I have been so betrayed and wounded that I have been suicidal. In
fact, I was in such a depression my health was fading dramatically. We have
all been wounded in different ways, but we must forgive and allow the Lord
to heal us. Jesus paved the way of being hurt, and then after being healed,
having the authority to heal others. This is the process we must all go
through. We need the wounding so that we can be sensitive and compas­
sionate toward others that are hurting. It is part of the process of being used
powerfully of God. Luke 4:18 speaks of Jesus healing the brokenhearted.
Scholars agree that when the side of Jesus was pierced, the reason blood
and water flowed from his side was because his heart had burst. In other
words, Jesus actually died of a broken heart. A broken heart has to been
bound up and healed by the Lord. The way we can do our part is by keeping
the wound clean from unforgiveness, thus preventing the “gang green” of
bitterness from coming in. If we keep unforgiveness out, the Lord can pour
the oil and wine of the Holy Spirit in the wounds and bring a healing. Re­
member a scar is much different than a scab. We need scars, but cannot
keep unhealed wounds. Jesus died of a broken heart, so your broken heart
can be healed.
On the tree
This is the seventh and final place on the earth Jesus shed his blood. We
see the blood continually flowing down that cross onto the ground. Galatians
3:13 states “Christ redeemed us from the Law by becoming a curse for us,

for it is written: ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.’ He redeemed us
in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles
through Christ Jesus.” This speaks of complete deliverance. Every work of
satan and any legal ground he has ever had in your life can be destroyed
and cancelled by the power of the cross. Jesus became cursed so that you
can be free from satan’s works completely. Have you ever noticed a weak­
ness in a family line? For example, have you ever seen a tendency toward
drinking in a family that had an abusive alcoholic father? You would think the
children would hate what they grew up in so much, they would never touch
alcohol! What about strife, divorce, and family alienation? Some families
seem to continually be in strife. Have you ever seen a weakness in a family
connected to anger, sexual perversions, dishonesty, or racism? How does
this cycle continue? In the Bible sin means missing the mark. It would be like
shooting a gun at a target and missing. A transgression means rebellion. It is
altogether different. In the garden of Eden Eve was deceived and sinned, but
Adam knew what he was doing and transgressed (rebelled). Adams trans­
gression was much more evil. Iniquity in the Bible means “bent, crooked, or
perverted.” Iniquity is something that is passed down a bloodline. We hear
the saying, “like father, like son” all the time. This speaks of iniquity. Iniquity
is a weakness within someone that was passed to them down the family line.
Jesus was bruised for iniquity as we see in Isaiah 53. A bruise is a bleeding
on the inside. Jesus even paid for that iniquity that is within us from our fam­
ily! Friend, all we could ever need is found in the cross.
Where’s the power?
When we get back to preaching the cross, we will regain the power that has
been lost. The truly wise will keep the message of the cross and winning
souls the focus. Many in these end times are being deceived into other fo­
cuses. The focus is Jesus, the cross, the blood, and souls coming into the
kingdom. I believe in prosperity, deliverance, healing, and other side issues,
but my focus is on Jesus. The truly wise will stay on this path of life and
power. Our personal relationship with Jesus has got to stay center. Even
revival can be an idol. Are we worshipping the Lord, or what he is doing? I
have seen people make worship, revival, or church ministry an idol in their
lives. We have got to come back to the truth. Some have put too much focus
on the Bible and not on the Lord. For example, we need sound doctrine, but
what if a husband wrote his wife a book but never saw her again! What kind
of relationship would they have? We need to know the Lord of the book, not
just the book of the Lord. It is time to make Jesus the focus again. I want to
be closer to him today than yesterday, and I want to be more like him today
than yesterday. He is everything to me.

Chapter Seven
The Laver
As we have seen, there is a way into the manifest presence of God.
This process begins with the pure gospel which we see at the gate.
The next step is the cross, which is depicted by the bronze altar. On
this journey into the Holy of Holies, the next stop after the cross (bronze altar)
is the bronze Laver. The Laver speaks of sanctification. When Israel left
Egypt, the Egyptian women were given bronze “looking glasses.” These
were the hand held mirrors of their time. When Moses asked the people to
make donations for the Tabernacle to be built, gold, different fabrics, acacia
wood, and these bronze “looking glasses” were given by the people. This is
prophetic of the work of the Laver. When someone looks into a body of water,
they can see their reflection. The Laver speaks of the cleansing work of
the word of God and water baptism. I will take this chapter to look at three
areas the Laver speaks about: water baptism, a renewed mind, and the word
of God.
Water Baptism
We read in Exodus 29 about Moses consecrating Aaron and his sons into
their priestly office. All Christians hold the office of a priest (1 Peter 2:9).
Notice that it took Moses as an authority figure to consecrate Aaron and his
sons. Aaron could not consecrate himself. Consecration is a deep cleansing
that takes someone to a place of being released into new levels of anointing
and ministry. Moses used a washing with water, sprinkling of blood, and
anointing with oil. We see this pattern in 1John 5:7­8 when it says, “For there
are three that testify: the Spirit, the water, and the blood.” The oil represents
the Holy Spirit, the water speaks of water baptism, and the blood speaks of
the blood of Jesus.
The water
Baptism is seen as a death and resurrection. This is true. The act is sym­
bolic of our dying, being crucified with Christ to the old man, and being resur­
rected as a new man. True resurrection life, power, and anointing is found
after we undergo a baptism of death. The outward act of water baptism is
really a dead ritual unless this principal is understood. Romans 6:3­4 says,
“Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were
baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism

into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the
glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Philippians 3:10 says, “I want
to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of shar­
ing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to
attain to the resurrection of the dead.” In scripture the Jordan river is a place
of death and receiving anointings. The death of self has to happen before we
can really enter into the resurrection life anointing. The level at which we die
will be the level we walk in resurrection power. Jesus went under the water
at the Jordan, and when he came up out of the water a clothing of the Spirit
of God and power came on him. In 2 Kings 2 we see Elisha tearing off the
old garment to put on the new mantle as he was willing to follow Elijah to the
Jordan. Many Christians in the west are still selfish. They haven’t been to the
Jordan. Would you sell everything you own and move to a foreign land
where you knew you would probably be martyred for your faith? A dead per­
son will go even to the death for Christ. Have you laid down your life for the
gospel? A person who is truly crucified with Christ will be a bold witness,
because he doesn’t care what others think of him. A dead person will be free
in their worship for the same reason. The reason many Christians are pow­
erless and don’t have the power to raise the dead is because they haven’t
died to receive resurrection power. This power will raise both the spiritually
dead and the physically dead. Now let’s look at the spiritual power in water
baptism.
1 Corinthians 10:2 says concerning the children of Israel “They were all bap­
tized into Moses in the cloud and the sea.” There was a water baptism Israel
went through when they crossed the Red Sea. They were baptized into
Moses (a picture of Christ) when they passed through the Red Sea. The
point I want to make is that the same waters that baptized Israel also closed
behind them to separate them from Egypt, which represents the world and
our past sins. Also, the waters killed their pursuing enemies. Even though
you make heaven by the blood of Jesus only, there is a power in water bap­
tism. John the Baptist was not doing something new. There were large con­
tainers of water at the temple that people would dip in for ceremonial clean­
sing. This is all through the Law of Moses. Dick Rueben said the best time to
pray for someone to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit is right out of the
waters of baptism. There seems to be an outward cleansing that prepares
someone to receive a new level of anointing. John Kilpatrick said he has
found that those that are water baptized are less likely to backslide. I just
want to bring home the point that water baptism is part of the deep conse­
cration. I always obey the Bible and water baptize all those in my congrega­
tion.
The renewed mind
Romans 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to approve
what God’s will is­ his good, pleasing, and perfect will.” The word trans­

formed in this passage is the Greek word metamorpho. This is where we get
the word metamorphosis from in our English language. A metamorphosis is
when a caterpillar leaves the cocoon to become a butterfly. We can see this
kind of transformation take place in our Christian walk when we have a re­
newed mind. God does have a “butterfly” life of victory for us that we can
begin to walk in as we renew our minds. We cannot help every thought that
crosses through our minds. In fact, many thoughts are impressed upon us by
demons. To make the matter worse, we have a sinful nature and live in a
very sinful world. So it is not a sin to have an evil thought pass through your
mind. I know from personal experience that demons will shoot a fiery dart
(evil thought) into your mind, and then they will go and accuse you with
something like this, “You wouldn’t think that way if you were really a Chris­
tian.” What an evil devil we fight. Even though it is not a sin to have a dart
shot into your mind, it is a sin to entertain a thought that Jesus would not
entertain. These can be thoughts of criticism or unrighteous judgment of
others, sexually perverted thoughts, violent or hateful thoughts, or thoughts
of doubting or accusing God. If we are not careful, thoughts can begin to
control our lives. I know people that are so afraid of certain things. I know I
battle, at times, discouragement and fears. We all battle these types of
thoughts, but if we continually entertain them, over time they can become a
stronghold. A stronghold is a place satan rules. It is legal ground for demons
to traffic upon. It is possible to become so obsessed with a certain way of
thinking that it will take an anointed man or woman of God to tear down the
stronghold. For example, a woman entered a pastor’s office. She was bone
skinny, had a gray complexion, and her eyes were sunk in her head. The
pastor said, “My you have lost weight.” She replies, “Doesn’t it look good.”
The Pastor goes on to say, “You look sickly.” Well, to make this true story
short, the lady was on about 20 boxes of ex­lax a day! She had become
obsessed with being skinny. Demons came in, and now she is in bondage to
this obsession. By the way, no adulterous affair ever begins with a sinful act.
It will begin first with a thought. As that thought is entertained, it is later acted
upon. It is vital that we dismiss evil thoughts. We do this by dismissing them
out of our minds and thinking of something else. It would be like wadding up
a piece of trash and throwing it away. At first this may seem difficult, but as
we exercise our minds in this way, we will build discipline. It is like lifting
weights. At first, it may seem difficult, but over time the muscle will develop.
I want to say on this note that what we allow in our minds through music,
television, movies, or what we read, like magazines, plays a role in this. We
must guard the gates our eyes and ears from perversion. The eyes and ears
are the gateways to the soul. We cannot expect to enter the Holy of Holies
having just watched something perverted. We cannot expect a holy God to
let us in his presence if we entertain evil thoughts all day long. We certainly
cannot expect to walk in victory over satan if we don’t have a disciplined
thought life! Let’s begin to renew our minds.

The book of James 1:22­25 says, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so
deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but
does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and,
after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks
like. But the man who gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting
what he has heard, but doing it­ he will be blessed in what he does.” The
word of God is described as pure water that washes as we see in Ephesians
5:25­29. In this passage it speaks of the husband loving the wife as Christ
loves the church. Some women don’t have a clue what that really means
and try to use it like a weapon against men. Look how Jesus let’s the satanic
attack come against the church (his bride) that he does. He hasn’t told us
when he is going to eat the marriage supper with us, even though many
women get mad when their husband is a little late for dinner. Loving your
wife the way Christ loves the church speaks of laying down your life for her. I
do speak a lot about the Jezebel spirit and true submission (which is obeying
a decision made with a good attitude), but the truth is, a lot of times women
are not the problem. Many times men refuse to lead. According to this pas­
sage in Ephesians, it is the man’s responsibility to see that his wife is
washed and ready for Jesus’ coming! Men, rise up and lead your families.
You will stand before God on judgment day concerning them!
The word of God is like the Laver when it comes to reflecting what we really
look like. We can look into the word of God and be cleansed as we begin to
see ourselves falling short in many areas. We all do fall short in many ways,
but as we read and apply the word, our lives go through a cleansing.
Final word
To get to the ultimate destination of God’s manifest presence, we must enter
a sanctifying process of the Laver. We cannot enter God’s presence without
clean hands and a pure heart before him.

Chapter Eight
The Table of
the Bread of Presence
To get into the manifest presence of God, which is revival, we see a
pattern beginning to emerge. The first step we have discovered is entering
by the pure gospel. This will prevent false conversions and
hypocrites believing they are heaven bound. The next step after the pure
gospel being preached is visiting the cross. After the cross we see a washing
of the laver. This gives us access to the table of fellowship with the Lord.
We see the outer court was lit up by natural sunlight, and it was distant from
the manifest presence of God. As we move from the outer court where blood
was shed, we can enter the actual enclosed tent of the Holy Place. The Holy
Place was lit up by the light of the lampstand, which speaks of the spiritual
revelation that is given by the Holy Spirit. I will discuss this in the next chap­
ter. Moving into the tent, we leave natural revelation and move into spiritual
revelation! This is a place of fellowship with God by his Spirit.
The Table was made of acacia wood overlaid with pure gold. The wood
speaks of humanity, and the gold speaks of divinity. So we see a mixture of
fellowship with God and man. The Table had two crowns which show Jesus
as the king of the Jews and Gentiles. On the table were gold pitchers for
wine, dishes, and plates. This is a table for communion or fellowship. The
bread was to be baked fresh with frankincense on it. This bread is translated
the bread of presence or bread of faces. It speaks of seeing God face to
face. There are basically two revelations we see in the Table. The first is the
power of the Lord’s Supper, and the second is the power of prayer. I will
discuss these two revelations in this chapter.
Communion
This is a very neglected or abused subject in the body of Christ right now.
There are some that actually worship the bread and fruit of the vine, thus
making it an idol, while others only take communion once a month, if that
often. There is a balance here. I personally take communion daily on my
own. It is very powerful, as I will discuss in this chapter. The Bible says we
can take it as often as we want. There is scriptural reference that leads
many scholars to believe the early church may have taken it daily as we see
in Acts 2:42. We can with certainty deduct that the early church took com­

munion weekly as seen in Acts 20:7. This was already a pattern revealed in
the Old Testament, as the Priests would eat from the Table of the Bread of
Presence weekly. I believe the current church is greatly neglecting the power
of communion because of ignorance of scripture. This is such a powerful
truth the enemy will battle this understanding from coming forth. As I move
into the power of communion, I want to show how frequently the early church
partook of it.
A Neglected Truth
In Revelation 2:4 Jesus says, “Yet I hold this against you: you have forsaken
your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and
do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and re­
move your lampstand from its place.” To even understand the book of Reve­
lation, you have to have an understanding of the Tabernacle and its symbol­
ism. The Lampstand speaks of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Now why was
this church in danger of losing the anointing? It was because they were for­
saking their “first love” and needed to do the things they had done before.
This is a very interesting passage of scripture. To fully understand what Je­
sus was saying we have to look into the Greek a little. The translation of “first
love” is actually translated “supreme love feast” in the Greek! We can see
that our anointing is in danger of being lost if we neglect the taking of the
Lord’s Supper on a regular basis. I would suggest from scripture to take
communion at least weekly. This is only a suggestion based on my study of
scripture. I don’t mean this to be a rigid rule. Now let me look at some bene­
fits of taking the Lord’s Supper on a regular basis.
Benefits of Taking the Lord’s Supper regularly
1. A deep consecration takes place
We see in Leviticus 6:18 that the priests that ate from the altar (a picture
of what we have today as the Lord’s Supper) became so holy through
that act that even what they touched became holy. We can walk in this
level of consecration if we take the Lord’s Supper on a regular basis.
2. Applying the blood brings a strong protection
We also see in scripture that when the blood was applied to the door­
post of the Israelites homes on Passover, the death angel passed over
their homes. In the book of Job 1:9­11 satan saw a hedge of protection
around Job, his family, and all he had because Job shed blood on a
regular basis for his families’ sins. There is a hedge of protection that
comes with the blood being applied to our lives.

3. Deep intimacy and revelation of the Lord
The fact that this revelation comes at the table would indicate a deep
fellowship with the Lord taking place. The body of the Lord was repre­
sented by the veil that separated us from the Holy of Holies. When his
body was ripped, the veil was torn in the Temple. Also the Priests of the
Old Testament would take blood in with them to the Holy of Holies to
apply to the Mercy Seat. The blood gave them access to the manifest
presence of God. When we take communion, there is a veil of the flesh
that is removed and we move quickly into the manifest presence of God.
I begin my day with taking communion at the beginning of my prayer
time with the Lord. I have noticed a major difference since I have been
doing this. I move more quickly and more deeply into God’s presence.
We can also see in Luke 24 on the road to Emmaus Jesus was re­
vealed to those with him at the “breaking of bread.” There seems to be
something in Jesus’ parables about “knowing him” that prepares us for
the rapture and even making heaven. The Jews ate Passover in haste
with staff in hand. They ate it ready to leave quickly. There seems to be
a link to being ready for the rapture, being intimate with Jesus, and tak­
ing communion. There is even life released as we “eat his flesh and
drink his blood” as seen in John 6:44­58.
4. Removing the yeast
In scripture yeast many times speaks of sin. In 1 Corinthians 5:7 the
yeast was commanded to be removed from the church and Paul con­
nected it with “keeping the feast.” I personally have witnessed this. At
the church I pastor, we take communion weekly. There was a young
lady that started coming that was trouble. She took communion with us.
Before I even had to address problems the Lord supernaturally removed
her from our fellowship. She had an issue with sexual sin. Taking the
communion as a church “removed the yeast” from among us. There is a
cleansing that takes place in taking communion. This leads me to a
point. Many have been so scared to take communion based on the
scripture about examining ourselves so we do get sick or die early. I
have studied that intently. I have found it has been very misread by
some. The “discerning” of the Lord’s body has to do with what he paid
for on the cross. For example, Jesus body paid for our healing, and his
blood paid for our sins. There have been many healed when taking
communion, because they remember what Jesus did for them on the
cross. Those that take communion remembering what the Lord did for
them will be healed and live out the full number of years God has for
them. Many neglect this and get sick or die early! If we read 1 Corin­
thians 11:23­24 in context the Corinthian church was feasting and get­
ting drunk at the Lord’s table. Some weren’t eating this bread and drink­
ing the wine as the Lord’s Supper, but only because they were hungry.
So they did not get the benefits of Communion. They were taking it in an
unworthy or disrespectful manner by not giving it the proper honor of ac­

tually being the Lord’s Supper. They were simply eating bread and
drinking wine out of hunger. If we set apart the bread and fruit of the
vine for this holy purpose of taking communion, so as to remember the
Lord in it, then we will receive the benefits of taking communion. In John
6:66 we see many of Jesus’ disciples forsook him because of the teach­
ing of eating his flesh and drinking his blood. Communion will be some­
thing that separates the church from the body of the world­ of which the
antichrist will rule one day soon to come. The communion table is only
for believers. I don’t believe a sinner will drop dead if he takes commun­
ion, but I do believe he will not receive the benefits of the cross until he
receives Christ as savior.
5. The fullness of the covenant released to us
Jesus paid for our healing, deliverance, and forgiveness of sins at the
cross. When we take the Lord’s Supper, all of this power of the cross is
released to us in a powerful way. That is why many are healed when
taking communion. I have also used this in deliverance, and it works
very powerfully. A friend told me he fell into temptation one time. He got
alone with the Lord and took communion. I know it had a powerful effect
on him. The first mention of taking communion was with Abraham and
Melchizedek in Genesis 14. Up to this point Abraham was still Abram.
He had promises from God, but nothing had really transpired yet in his
life. When he took communion with a man of God, and that man of God
spoke a blessing over him, everything began to change for him. Right
after this encounter with Melchizedek everything began to shift for
Abram. The Lord told me one time, if I would take communion then
bless those I was ministering to, he would change their lives. I do that to
this day.
6. For Battle
In 1Samuel 21 David ate the consecrated bread. In the Hebrew transla­
tion of this passage, the bread seems to speak of battle. There is
strength and protection released in taking communion. When we are
consecrated, the covenant released to us, entering God’s presence with
ease, and gaining the strength for battle, we will be strong in front of the
enemy before us! We are entering dark days ahead in the world. We
need to have the Table of communion before us. God will prepare a Ta­
ble before us in the presence of our enemies, if we let him.
Prayer
I love prayer. It is the highlight of my life. I am not trying to be spiritual or
impress any one; this is simply a true statement. I was very fortunate to have
two elderly women who taught me to pray when I was very young in ministry.

This set a course for the rest of my life. I saw difficult situations turn around,
miracles happen, and great moves of God because of prayer when I was
around these ladies. They taught me that every thing is birthed in the spiri­
tual through prayer, and then you will see the results in the natural. My life
was so changed by them; I still base my whole life and ministry on prayer to
this day. When I started my church in Dallas, I met with the core group and
started corporate prayer and fasting. This was the first thing I started. It has
kept us from many difficulties and has caused a very high level of fruitfulness
in ministry.
Methods in prayer
It is vital to not get religious in your prayer life. Prayer can become a reli­
gious ritual very quickly. I do believe there is a pattern the Lord taught us,
but it is not a dead ritual. The pattern Jesus taught us about prayer can very
easily parallel with the pattern revealed in the Tabernacle of how to get into
God’s manifest presence! I want to discuss this pattern of prayer taught us
by the Lord.
Luke 11:2­4 “Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us
this day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone
who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.”
This is the New International Version. I will draw from other versions as well.
Here are the patterns I have learned in prayer.
1. Our Father in heaven
We are children of God because of the blood of the lamb of God. The
first step to entering God’s presence in prayer is coming through the
blood of Jesus. I always start my prayer time by asking the Lord to wash
me in the blood from any sin. I ask him to cleanse me from anything I
have done that I didn’t even realize I have done. This was the first step
the Priests of the Old Testament would take. They would make a blood
sacrifice for the atonement of their sin before they began to move into
God’s presence. We have access to the throne of grace by the blood of
the lamb according to Hebrews 10:19­22. I usually take communion dur­
ing this time personally.
2. Hallowed be your name
This speaks of praise and worship. After we are washed by the blood of
the lamb, we have access to God’s presence. We can lift our voices and
our hands and begin to worship the Lord. I use worship CD’s some­
times, and other times I simply sing to the Lord. I will sing something
like: “I worship you Lord. I bless your name. You are holy and worthy of

my worship. I bless you Lord.” I think you get the idea. As you begin to
worship, you will begin to move into God’s presence. This is also seen
in the Tabernacle. Before the tent separating the Holy of Holies there
was a gold altar for burning incense. The incense speaks of worship
and prayer. This is what ushered the Priests right into the Holy of Ho­
lies! Worship is powerful.
3. Your kingdom come and will be done
All things in prayer must be Spirit led. I have learned to be led by the
Spirit in services I hold because of learning to be led by him in my per­
sonal prayer time. You will need to be led by the Spirit on how to wor­
ship and when to stop. This will depend of what the Father wants to
hear that morning. Another thing on that note, beginning your day with
prayer is so important if at all possible! When I am talking about my per­
sonal prayer life, it is in the morning. The next phase in the pattern of
prayer taught by the Lord is praying the will of God forth in the earth. In
reality God’s will is very seldom fully done in the earth right now. For
example, it is not his will for any to go to hell, but yet most do! One of
the main reasons God’s will is not accomplished in the earth the way it
could be is laziness in Christians in regard to prayer! We will give an ac­
count for this on judgment day. If we would fight and pray, we would see
the will of God enforced in the earth. Let’s begin to see this happen. Do
you have lost loved ones to pray for? Is everyone saved that you work
with? Are your neighbors right with God? Is your church spiritually
where it needs to be? Remember Matthew 11:12 states that the king­
dom of heaven is forcefully advancing and forceful men lay hold of it.
Friend, we are in a war!
4. Give us this day our daily bread
Notice how we put others first before we pray for our own needs. This is
a simple prayer for God to supply your daily needs. I would suggest that
you pray very specifically with God. If you need money, how much ex­
actly do you need? I remember Dr. Cho telling a story. He said he
needed a bike and asked the Lord for one. Nothing happened for a long
time. He really needed one and knew the Bible spoke of God supplying
your every need. So he was getting a little upset. So he asked the Lord
about the matter. The Lord replied that there were hundreds of bikes
available out there. Which one did he want? So Dr. Cho specifically
asked for a certain kind and color. He had it very shortly after that. Let’s
be specific with the Lord. The Priests would enter the Holy of Holies to
pray for Israel. God would hear their prayers and meet the needs ac­
cordingly. So we still see this pattern paralleling with the Tabernacle.
5. Forgive us our sins as we forgive others

THE TABLE OF THE BREAD OF PRESENCE
It is very important to make this stop in your prayer life. This is some­
thing we don’t see in the Old Testament. But in the New Testament we
see this scripture. In Matthew 5:23 we read “Therefore, if you are offer­
ing your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has
something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go
and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.” We
can see in scripture that our sins will not be forgiven if we don’t forgive
others (Mark 11:25). Forgiveness is a choice, not an emotion. You may
still be hurt by someone. You may still be angry about what was done.
This is understandable, but you can make a choice to forgive them.
When you do you will feel so free! Unforgiveness only hurts the one that
has it. We also see in Matthew 18:21 that a servant was forgiven his
debt, but he refused to forgive others. So he was sent to be tortured. I
have seen this at work. People that have unforgiveness are tormented
(tortured) by demons until they forgive. In fact, a deliverance cannot
take place in someone if they have unforgiveness. The unforgiveness is
legal ground for demons. This legal ground comes from the fact that the
person with unforgiveness does not have their sins forgiven.
6. Don’t lead us into temptation
This speaks of praying over your day. I always ask the Lord to give me
strength to overcome any temptation or satanic attack I might face
through the day. It is powerful to have already prayed for this before you
actually face it.
7. Deliver us from evil
This is the last phase in the prayer pattern taught us by Jesus. We are
already in the Holy of Holies after our time of worship. So now we are
simply being intimate with the Lord. I will ask the Lord for protection for
me, my family, and all I own. Quoting Psalm 91 out loud over yourself,
family, and all you own is so powerful! I will always take a moment to
make sure I have myself and family covered in this area before I leave
my prayer time. We are living in days of major warfare and need to be
covered in prayer before we begin our days.
Again I must say, do not let this pattern become a dead ritual. Prayer is a
relationship. Some marriages allow their life to become a routine and a dead
ritual so to speak. This causes the level of closeness and intimacy to fade.
We must keep the relationship alive. We do this by being led by the Spirit in
all of the patterns listed above. Our intimacy with the Holy Spirit causes our
prayer lives to be rich, powerful, and alive! Prayer is really about being in
God’s presence and spending time with him.
The same basic pattern will work with corporate prayer. First come through
the blood. Then enter a time of worship. After that you can move into prayer

and intercession. This pattern will work on any level. If you begin to take
communion regularly and develop a strong prayer life, expect to move into
the Lord’s presence in a powerful way! You will begin to walk under an open
heaven and in the presence and power of God in a very real way. The Table
of the Lord is a place of sweet fellowship with Jesus by his Spirit. We can be
as close to Jesus as we want to be.

Chapter Nine
The Anointing
Ilove the teaching of the anointing. I remember weeping while I read
Benny Hinn’s book The Anointing. The anointing is God’s grace on us to
empower us to do the works of Jesus in the earth. I will make a point
sometimes when I am speaking when I ask this question: Is Jesus a liar? Of
course he isn’t. He is God, and God can’t lie. So when Jesus made statements
we can be sure they are true. Here are some statements of Jesus.
Mark 16:17­18 says, “And these signs will accompany those that believe: In
my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they
will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it
will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on the sick, and they will
get well.” John 14:12 also says “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in
me will do what I have been doing. He will do what I have been doing. He
will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
We can see that power and authority which comes by the anointing is supposed
to be at work in Christians as a part of normal Christianity.
Normal Christianity
Raising the dead, cleansing lepers, driving out demons, and healing the sick
is normal Christianity. We can see that Jesus was very clear on that. So why
do so many fall short of this in modern Christianity? The main reason is be­
cause many reject this. People don’t want tongues, supernatural happen­
ings, or anything that would make them feel uncomfortable! Friend, this has
got to change! The end time church of today will see much greater power
and revival than the early church. God always builds on what he is doing.
God never starts big to end weak! He starts with a bang and ends with a
greater bang! The end time church will see unprecedented power and spiri­
tual authority. There already is an anointing available for this in the earth.
Many are flocking to the current revivals to receive this. They are among the
wise and humble. They are the ones Jesus referred to as the wise virgins in
Matthew 25. To usher in the coming of Jesus to the earth, we must have
power.
Spirit of Elijah
Malachi 4:5 states “I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and
dreadful day of the Lord comes.” This refers to the Spirit of Elijah coming.

We see the Spirit of Elijah resting on John the Baptist to prepare the way of
Jesus’ first coming. The first coming of the Lord was referred to as the
“great” day of his coming. We are also seeing the Spirit of Elijah coming
upon the end time church of today to prepare for Jesus’ second coming. The
second coming of the Lord is referred to as the “dreadful” day of the Lord.
When John the Baptist came, he operated in the Spirit of Elijah. When the
Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Elijah, it is referring to his nature. We see
him called the “seven Spirits of God” in Revelation. He is not seven different
Spirits, but rather the word seven speaks of perfection. He is the perfect
Spirit of God. He is just as much God as the Father or the Son. We can see
his nature revealed in Isaiah 11:2. The seven attributes of the Spirit of God
are: wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, reverent obedi­
ence, and fear of the Lord. When the Holy Spirit comes in all these attributes
at once, thus coming in his fullness, he is referred to as the “Spirit of Elijah.”
This type of intense anointing came on John the Baptist to usher in the first
coming of the Lord, and this same intensity of anointing will come upon the
Bride of Christ to usher in Jesus second coming! Churches that reject God’s
power are rejecting part of God. He is supernatural. So it should be common
sense that what he does will be supernatural as well. An unprecedented
anointing will be needed to see the revival we must see in these end times to
bring in the harvest. We can see that Malachi mentioned the Spirit of Elijah
in connection with the coming of the Lord.
Compromise
Another great hindrance of the anointing in churches is compromise toward
sin and people not getting along. There are so many Christians that will sit
through church week after week to go home and watch things on television
and in movies Jesus would never watch! This activity is like a leech that
sucks the anointing right out of someone. Churches that have strife or oppo­
sition toward the pastor will never have an anointing! They will not have an­
swers to their prayers either. We can see an emphasis on unity when it
comes to the anointing in Psalm 133 when it reads “How good and pleasant
it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the
head, running down the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard.” Unity will
release the anointing! This also leads to what covering a church has. We all
need to be submitted to some form of authority.
The Holy Spirit is a person
In reality, Jesus is at the Father’s right hand right now. So who are we fel­
lowshipping with? The presence of God with us right now is the Holy Spirit.
He is a person. The Lampstand was made of pure gold. Most all other furni­
ture was wood and either gold or bronze. The wood speaks of humanity. So
in other pieces of furniture we can see a mixture of humanity with divinity as
we saw in the Table. But the Lampstand was pure gold showing that it is all

God and no humanity. It had a beautiful artwork of almond flowers. Exodus
25:33 states “Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blos­
soms are to be on one branch, three on the next branch, and the same for
all six branches extending from the Lampstand.” The three cups had three
parts. When we total the threefold flowers there were sixty six parts on the
Lampstand which prophesied of the sixty six books of the Bible we now
have. The Holy Spirit is the author of the word of God. The Lampstand was
filled with pure oil that flowed through it. The Priests would take their white
linen garments and tear them. They would roll that and use it as wicks in the
Lampstand. The Priests were to keep the wicks trimmed, fresh bread on the
Table, and burn incense daily. There is maintenance of keeping a fresh
anointing in our lives. We can see in Leviticus 6:13 “The fire must be kept
burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.” God started the fire
supernaturally in the beginning, but the Priests were to keep it burning daily.
We must keep a fresh anointing on our lives!
Fellowship with the Spirit
1 Corinthians 13:14 “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of
God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” Notice Paul spoke
of the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. This word for fellowship is the Greek word
Koinonia. It is a word that implies a deep intimacy. In Psalm 42 David
speaks of deep calling to deep. This is our spirits communing with the Holy
Spirit. The greatest level of intimacy in a marriage is seen in sex. What I
mean by that, it is the most private and personal part of marriage. Koininia is
usually seen in scripture speaking of sex. Now let me make something very
clear. I am not talking about anything sexual with God! But the greatest level
of intimacy in a marriage is sex, and this great level of intimacy is parallel
with the level of intimacy God wants with us. God wants us completely open
and transparent with him. After Adam fell he tried to cover himself and hide.
God wants us to run to him not covering and hiding. The Holy Spirit wants a
close intimacy with us. The word Koininia is literally translated: “presence,
fellowship, sharing together, participate with, intimacy, friendship, and com­
radeship (in battle with).” So this is the type of fellowship the Holy Spirit de­
sires. The Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3­4). He has intellect (Romans 8:27),
emotions (Romans 5:5), will (1 Corinthians 12:11), he instructs us (Nehe­
miah 9:20), and teaches us and counsels us (Psalm 32:8). We can see the
early church understanding this when they consulted the Holy Spirit in deci­
sion making. Acts 15:28 reads “It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us
not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements.”
Jesus’ teaching of the Holy Spirit
John 16:5­16 says “Now I am going to him who sent me, yet none of you
asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ Because I have said these things, you are
filled with grief. But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going

away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will
send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard
to sin and righteousness and judgment; in regard to sin, because men do not
believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father,
where you can see me no longer; and in regard to judgment, because the
prince of this world now stands condemned. I have much more to say to you,
more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will
guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what
he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me
by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to
the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine
and make it known to you.”
Close
The Holy Place was lit by the Lampstand. The Holy Spirit will reveal God and
bring the revelation of truth that we need. He searches the deep things of
God and reveals them to us as we see in 1 Corinthians 2:10­12. He is the
greatest teacher we could ever have. He is the one to bring us a fresh
anointing daily. He is the one we must learn to hear and be led by. I believe
it is absolutely imperative that we have a very intimate relationship with the
Holy Spirit in these end times. There have been times in my life where I
thought I was walking through a spiritual field of land mines. I know the only
thing that kept me was being led by the Spirit of God. We need his anointing
flowing though us to do the works of Jesus in the earth. Knowing the Holy
Spirit intimately is a major key to revival personally or corporately.

Chapter Ten
The Golden
Altar of Incense
This is a beautiful chapter to the Lord. The gold covering wood speaks
of the human mixed with the divine. The four horns on each corner of
the altar speak of the power this truth has over the whole earth. The
incense was a beautiful fragrant mixture of spices. There were four spices in
this mixture that symbolically speak of: praise, worship, prayer, and intercession.
This “burning” of the incense of praise, worship, prayer, and intercession
will take you right into the manifest presence of God. This altar stood
before the veil, and it was the last piece of furniture to be visited before entering
the Holy of Holies. I have seen the mixture of worship, prayer, and
warfare in corporate prayer meetings that I knew shook the earth. I have
also seen God’s people calling out to the north, south, east, and west for
souls to be saved. What power is in that!
Calling to the four winds
There are spiritual forces of hell that have people in bondage. The Lord has
led me many times to take the shofar and blast it to the north, south, east,
and west. I will usually pray something like: “I apply the blood of Jesus over
the harvest God has for Fire and Ice in the North. I bind all satanic forces at
work hindering them from the purposes of God. I command satan to loose
them and let them go. I release the angels of the Lord to begin to gather
them in.” Then I will blast the shofar. I do this over each direction. I have also
done this in regard to finances, equipment, resources, and ministry doors.
Each time we have seen tremendous miracles.
Worship
Worship so moves the heart of God. We ascend in praise with fast songs,
dance, clapping hands, shouting, and singing, but we move into an intimacy
with the Lord as we progress into worship. Psalm 95:1­7 shows this progres­
sion beautifully. “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to
the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and
extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King
above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain
peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed
the dry land. Come let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord

our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock
under his care. Today, if you hear his voice.” The pattern begins with praise,
shouting, and joy. Then it moves into a posture of worship and bowing be­
fore the Lord. After that, there is a reference to hearing God’s voice. The
hearing of the Lord’s voice has to do with the Holy of Holies. The path from
the Holy Place into the Holy of Holies is one of worship.
Priestly garments
There is much revelation in the garments the priests would wear. There were
three layers of garments. The layers are revealed in three colors. The first
color of the priestly garments worn was pure white linen. White and linen
both speak of righteousness. Isaiah 61:10 states “I delight greatly in the
Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of
salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom
adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”
The connection here with a priest and a bride is no accident. The true bride
of Christ will be priests that minister before the Lord in worship and prayer.
The white layer of garments had three parts. Three is the number of God.
The white turban worn on the head speaks of a holy thought life. The white
robe that went from the neck to the wrists and ankles speaks of the robe of
righteousness. Last, there were white “pajama like” bottoms worn that cov­
ered the nakedness of the priest. They were called the “breeches.” This
speaks of sexual purity. If the priests forgot this garment as he went on the
altar, he would have died. God hates nudity. He created Adam and Eve with
a clothing of his glory, which they lost in their sin. Nudity is a continual re­
minder of that fall. Now I do not mean that God hates you taking a shower or
making love in marriage! But I do believe he hates nude beaches, pornogra­
phy, stripping, etc…
The clothing of power
The next layer to cover the priest was the blue tunic. This was like a long
vest. It had no sleeves. On the bottom round about it were bells and pome­
granates. The bells speak of the gifts of the Spirit and the pomegranates
speak of the fruit of the Spirit. A pomegranate is a type of fruit. I want to
mention that since we don’t have a lot of pomegranates in Texas. This blue
tunic was what allowed a priest access into the Holy Place to begin with! So
what is this blue tunic exactly? We see in Luke 24:49 Jesus said, “stay in the
city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” This “clothing of
power” has to do with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I made a statement in
the beginning of this book that if Christians understood their Jewish roots, it
would solve a lot of doctrinal debates. This is a prime example. This shows
the baptism in the Holy Spirit in a powerful way. The result of this baptism
released the gifts and fruit of the Spirit in someone’s life in a very real way,
and gave them access to the Holy Place. Some people believe the baptism

happens at salvation. This is simply not the case. The Holy Spirit comes to
live in the heart of someone when they do accept Christ as we can see in 1
Corinthians 12:13 when it states “we were all baptized by one Spirit into one
body.” This is salvation. The Holy Spirit baptizes us into Christ. When this
happens the Spirit of God dwells in us, for we are the temple of the Holy
Spirit. After this experience we see a clothing of power available to us. Acts
8:14­17 is a prime example of this. “When the apostles in Jerusalem heard
that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to
them. When they arrived they prayed for them that they might receive the
Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they
had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. Then Peter and
John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.” You will
notice the passage above said the Holy Spirit had not yet come “upon” any
of them. That is the key difference. These people were saved and baptized
in water, but the clothing of power was not released to them yet. They re­
ceived it when Peter and John laid hands on them.
The clothing of glory
The third and final layer of clothing on the priest was the gold ephod. It was
like a vest with a belt. The shoulder pieces that had chains to hold the
breastplate over the heart of the priests speaks of responsibility. The breast­
plate had twelve stones that spoke of the twelve tribes if Israel. The twelve
tribes of Israel, God’s people, were to be close to the heart of the priest in
prayer. He was to make intercession on behalf of Israel. This was his re­
sponsibility. The gold ephod speaks of the glory. Just as the blue speaks of
the clothing of power. The gold speaks of a clothing of glory. In the Holy of
Holies dwells the glory of God. We can press into this glory by praise, wor­
ship, prayer, and intercession. We can see this in the book of revelation 5:8
when it says; “they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the
prayers of the saints.” To the Lord, our worship and prayer is a sweet in­
cense before him. We also see a story in Numbers 16, where the Korah,
Dathan, and Abiram led a rebellion against Moses. This caused a great an­
ger in the Lord and a plague came on the people so that many died. In verse
47 Aaron ran in the midst of the people burning incense before the Lord. The
plague stopped and the Bible says in verses 47­48 “Aaron offered the in­
cense and made atonement for them. He stood between the living and
dead.” This is the power of intercession. Prayer is fellowship and petition, but
intercession is getting between the Lord and someone asking for mercy.
How many of us go in between our lost loved ones and God pleading for
their souls? This is true intercession. We stand in the gap on someone’s
behalf. Abraham did this for Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 18. Moses did
this on behalf of Israel in Exodus 32. It is our responsibility as priests before
God to intercede on behalf of those that are lost. Also, the breastplate repre­
senting God’s people should be dear to our hearts in prayer. For we are all
priests unto the Lord as seen in 1 Peter 2:5.

Freedom in praise and worship
One thing that will kill revival quickly is not allowing freedom. The Bible says,
where the Holy Spirit is, there is freedom. William Seymour was the overseer
of the Azusa Street Revival at the turn of the 20 th century. He knew there
were some people here and there that were in the flesh at times, but he was
very cautious to not ever quench what God was doing. You better be careful
friend. I personally would put up with a little flesh here and there, rather than
quench the Holy Spirit. You really don’t know what is going on in people’s
hearts. Someone may cry out in a service. A critical person could look on
and say “oh my, just look at that.” What they don’t realize is the individual
has had a life full of pain and suffering, and Jesus just healed their broken
heart. The only thing they knew to do was cry out in thanksgiving. With that
in mind, do you think Jesus would be pleased with the individual that looked
on with a critical eye? I don’t think so.
There are scriptural forms of praise and worship I would like to present here.
These are all Bible ways to praise and worship God based on the seven
Hebrew words for “praise” in the Bible. Here are the seven Hebrew words
with their definition.
1. Yadah— “to extend the hand, throw out the hand. To worship with
hands extended.” Ps 63:4, 141:2, 1 Tim 2:8
2. Shabach— “to address in a loud tone, to command, to triumph, to glory,
to shout a loud expression.” Ps 35:27
3. Zamar— “To touch, as in instrumental worship, the harp or strings.” Ps
150
4. Barak— “to kneel, to bless God as an act of adoration.” Ps 71:14
5. Towdah— “to give thanksgiving with extended hands.” Ps 50:23, Phil
4:6
6. Halal— “to shine, boast, rave, celebrate and be joyful, to give light, to
be given in marriage, and to clamorously foolish.” This is the most used
Hebrew word for praise. It is where we get the word Hallelujah. It is the
word dancing would fall under in definition. Dancing is very common in
Jewish weddings to this day. Halal is seen in Ps 149:3, 150:4
*Under Halal is:
Ruah— “to shout, leap, or celebrate”
Giyl— “to whirl (spin) about”

Takah— “to clap as in crushing” (clapping would intimidate the enemy in
battle)
7. Tehillah— “to sing or to laud” Ps 22:3 (singing, laughing, rejoicing)
As you can see there is a lot of freedom given for expressing one’s self
in praise unto the Lord. How many churches today allow this kind of ex­
pression in their praise and worship? This is all scriptural worship! If a
church is stopping this, they are disobeying the scriptures. There are
three words in the Bible for worship.
1. Shachah­ “prostrate, bow down”
2. Atsab­ “to carve, fabricate, or fashion” (worship with the arts)
3. Cegid “to worship”
If we truly want revival, we have to be willing to allow this kind of freedom in
praise and worship. God loves worship that is in Spirit and truth. That kind of
praise and worship is in the Holy Spirit (alive) and is scriptural (in truth).
Closing
We can have access by the blood of Jesus into the Holy of Holies if we enter
the prescribed way. The prescribed way is through the burning of the in­
cense before the Lord. We have entered the gate by the pure gospel. Then
we visited the cross at the bronze altar. After that we visited the washing of
the laver. Then we moved into the tent as we sat at the table of communion
with the Lord. The next stop we took was the lampstand which speaks of the
anointing and getting the know the Holy Spirit. Finally, we have entered into
the Holy of Holies by the burning of the incense before the Lord. Now let’s
move into that secret place of God’s presence and intimacy.

Chapter Eleven
The Holy of Holies:
Revival
Once we move past the golden altar of incense, we can enter through
the veil into the Holy of Holies where the Ark of the Covenant is located.
More important than the ark, the manifest presence of God is
there. The ark was wood overlaid with gold. So we can see as before this is
man (wood) connecting with God (gold). In the heart of the ark were the
stone tablets of the Ten Commandments, which are to be written on our
hearts. Also, the rod of Aaron that budded speaks of the spiritual authority
given to us as priests. Last was some manna from the wilderness which was
kept in a jar which speaks of our getting daily spiritual food from the Lord
when we spend time in fellowship with him. On top of the golden box was a
lid called the mercy seat. This mercy seat had cherubim on each side in a
posture of worship. In the center of the seat was where the priest would
place the blood. The glory of God would come and kiss that blood and light
up the Holy of Holies. The glory was the only form of light in the place. When
Jesus died. He was buried in a tomb. When the apostles went to see his
body after he was raised from the dead. All the apostles saw were bloodstains
with an angel on each side of the spot where he once laid. This spoke
of the mercy seat. The priest would also carry a censer that had incense
burning in it into the Holy of Holies as they applied the blood to the mercy
seat. They would then begin to make intercession on behalf of the people of
God.
Authority with God
I read Jeremiah 15:1 which states “Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand
before me, my heart would not go out to this people.” It impacted me that
God would say, “Even if Moses and Samuel.” They had an authority with
God when it came to intercession. So what made them this way? I believe
living holy lives and being a regular visitor to the Holy of Holies is what plays
a role in giving someone this kind authority with God. Basically, we have
authority when we become friends with God. Friends spend time together.
Knowing how to pray
In 1John 5:14­15 it states, “This is the confidence we have in approaching
God: that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we

know that he hears us­ whatever we ask­ we know that we have what we
asked of him.” In God’s manifest presence, we are changed. I know over the
years of being saved my desires have completely changed. Psalm 37:4
says, “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your
heart.” As I have allowed the Lord to change my desires in my heart to his
desires, now I do pray according to his will. Since I am praying according to
his will, he hears and answers me.
What is the will of God
I have personally resolved it in my mind that it is God’s will to heal and de­
liver all that come to him. I do not see a place in scripture where Jesus ever
turned anyone away who came to him. So someone may ask, “Why do
some not get healed?” I personally believe there is more than one reason for
this. One reason may be that the illness is demonic and it is not a matter of
healing so much as a matter of deliverance. I have seen many healed
through deliverance. Another reason may be that someone has unconfessed
sin or unforgiveness in his/her life. We can see that forgiveness of sin and
healing go together as we see in James 5:14­16 when it says, “Is any one of
you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint
him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make
the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be
forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other
so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and
effective.” In Mark 11:25 we read, “When you stand praying, if you hold any­
thing against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive
you your sins.” Unforgiveness will prevent healing or deliverance in some­
one’s life.
We can see in Acts 2:21 says that all who call on the name of the Lord will
be saved. The word saved is the Greek word sozo. Sozo means, “save, de­
liver, protect, heal, preserve, do well, make whole.” So all who call on Jesus’
name can be saved, delivered, protected, healed, preserved, made to do
well, and made whole! That is quite a promise in the scriptures.
True faith
I don’t believe in the way some people present faith that I have heard. Faith
is not hard and it is not of works as we can see in Ephesians 2:8­9. Faith
and grace are both gifts that come from God and are not of works. We don’t
have to chant a scripture over and over to try to manipulate things to get
what we want. If our desires are God’s desires we will pray the will of God
and have what we have asked. True faith is putting your faith in God. As
Jesus said in Mark 11:22 when he said “Have faith in God.” In other words,
don’t try to put faith in your ability to believe enough for something. If it is the
will of God for you to have something, God will give you the faith to believe

him for it if you ask him. I always ask the Lord to give me the faith and bold­
ness I need to believe him for everything he wants to do in my life and
through me. You know what, he does. So as I am asking the Lord for the
faith I need, I am taking the undo pressure off myself and putting it on the
Lord. Thus, I am having faith in God to supply what I need. The people in the
Bible would come to Jesus to be healed or delivered or have a need met. He
would say to them “your faith has healed you.” What you must understand is
that the fact they came to him in the first place showed them putting their
faith in Jesus. That is why he would say that. They weren’t running some­
where else to be healed. They were coming to him. When you look to Jesus
and ask for your healing, you do have the faith to be healed just as they did
in the Bible times. Friend, faith is easy. Don’t let weird teaching make it hard.
Anointing and boldness
In Hebrews 10:19 we read “Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence
(boldness) to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus.” I personally
believe that confidence is something we desperately need in the church to­
day. Satan and his servants laugh at the wimpyness of current Christianity.
Satanists will not get saved if they see a wimpy Christian, but if you are con­
fident and bold they will listen. They need to see more power in us to be­
lieve, because they have seen great power serving satan. The reason for a
lack of boldness is a lack of the anointing. The anointing will bring great
boldness. The number one reason for both a lack of anointing and a lack of
boldness is compromise. If someone is playing with sin, they do not have
boldness before God because they know they are not fully right and there is
not a true anointing upon them. When we live holy, we have great boldness
and a true anointing from God. We see in Proverbs 28:1 it says, “The right­
eous are as bold as lions.” Notice it says the righteous are bold. If we live a
righteous life, we will have boldness.
Humility and power
One of the greatest delusions is the pride that comes from having power with
God. My attitude about the anointing God has given me is this. I am nothing.
God could use a worm to probably do a better job at times than I have done,
but in his great mercy, he overlooks my faults and uses me anyway. When I
pray for people and they are healed, delivered, or hit by the power of God, I
realize the only reason for that is Jesus meeting the need. See, Jesus loves
these people and wants their needs met. So in his mercy, he is willing to
even use someone like me to see that need met, because the Lord so
deeply loves those people and cares so much for their needs. He could use
someone else, but he chooses to do things the way he does them. If we are
going to walk in the unprecedented power we will have to walk in during
these end times, we will need unprecedented humility. It is very easy for
someone to get lifted up in pride after great victories. That is why God allows

us the trials he does after victories many times. God loves us so much he is
trying to prevent us from falling. Pride will always come before a fall. We
need to humble ourselves so God can exalt us. We need to learn to take on
the role of a servant to others. Spiritual authority is to serve others in love.
We need to learn to be like water that always finds the lowest level and rests
there. Let the body of Christ do away with competition, strife, and division.
These things displease the Lord and will kill revival dead in the water! Let the
ministers quit trying to play politics and learn to be a servant, be hidden, and
find the lowest level. We must be very careful in these end times with the
enemy of pride. It is a deadly and very subtle enemy that has destroyed
many lives.
The Holy of Holies
The Holy of Holies is a place of dwelling in God’s manifest presence. I will
never forget reading a book by Kathryn Kuhlman on prayer entitled Lord,
Teach us to Pray. She made a statement in the book I will never forget. She
said, “there is worship in silence.” See, in the outer court our bodies are en­
tering the gates with thanksgiving and praise. We then move into the Holy
Place and begin to worship and fellowship with our souls. When we arrive in
the Holy of Holies, we have walked into the atmosphere of heaven­ God’s
manifest presence, which is the glory. This is the place our spirits begin to
commune with the Holy Spirit of God. Psalm 42:7 calls this level of fellow­
ship when “deep calls unto deep.” When someone gets to this place of inti­
macy with the Lord where they learn to be silent and soak in his presence,
this is the place of great anointing. It is a place of worship, breathing in
God’s presence, trust, depth in Christ, a fanning into flame the fire of God
within, and a place where prayer without ceasing is born. The greatest
anointings have come out of this place and this level of intimacy with the
Lord. When we start an engine, it simply runs without anymore effort. This is
the same as prayer without ceasing. When we get into God’s presence in
the morning, it is like starting our spiritual engine that runs all day long. This
is prayer without ceasing. Many times in prayer I will simply lay on my back
in the presence of the Lord. I will very quietly talk with him. This is a very
powerful place to be. We can see this in the Prophet Samuel’s life as he
would sleep in the Holy of Holies as a child and God spoke to him there
(1Samuel 3). Also, those that find this place and learn to dwell in this place
will be the ones that inherit great mantles. Look at the story of Ruth. She
learned to lay at Boaz’s feet. Boaz represented Jesus, and Ruth represented
the Bride of Christ. We see in Chapter 3 that she laid at his feet and then
asked the corner of his garment (mantle) to be spread over her. She re­
ceived it. Friend, if you want an anointing and mantle, learn the prayer of
silence. Learn the prayer of basking in the glory of God.
God is looking for hungry people. I have prayed for some people where the
anointing shot through me and hit them because they were so hungry. Other
people that weren’t hungry were like a brick wall when I prayed for them. We

must pray for great hunger and thirst for more of God. Jesus said blessed
are the hungry and thirsty, they will be filled. We must be open and receive
of the anointing. When someone like Steve Hill prays for me I am hungry
and very open. I literally grab and take all God has for me in the anointing.
We must be open to new and different things. The way things are will always
change with time. God will change methods, but his nature will never
change. Be ready to endure persecution. With revival will come satanic at­
tack and opposition from the world and the church. We must be ready to
endure hardships as good soldiers. Be very careful who is allowed in leader­
ship. I have written a book on warfare called Warfare Manual for Ministers.
This will greatly help with understanding the level of warfare faced in revival.
Corporately visiting the Holy of Holies
Some churches have had corporate visits into the Holy of Holies like
Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, Florida. This produced a revival
that has swept the world. This is my heart. Many that know me speak of the
deliverance ministry, but my heart is really for revival and souls. We can see
revival individually, in our families, and our churches by applying the patterns
of God. I believe this book can help lay the groundwork for great moves of
God in the future. This has nothing to do with who wrote it, but rather in spite
of who wrote it! What it has to do with is following the word of God into the
pattern for revival God has given us through the Tabernacle. As I have ap­
plied the patterns to my life, I have seen a great personal revival. It has
worked for me, my family, and my ministry. I know it will work for you. May

The reason understanding symbolism in the Bible is so important is that God
speaks so much through symbolism. Many read the book of Revelation and
do not understand anything they have read. This is because they do not
understand Biblical symbolism. The symbolism for the entire Bible has its
roots in the symbolism of the Tabernacle. I hope this list of symbolism helps
open up the scriptures to you in a new way.
Scriptural symbolism: what do colors represent

Certain sins seem to bring guilt even if we are a Christian. For example, un­

Christian. Turning back to our old ways brings guilt and shame even as a
Christian. This is what this offering represents. It represents the guilt that still
comes on us as Christians being forgiven.
What do the seven major feast days mean to us today?
This speaks of God’s prophetic timeline before Christ returns to reign on the
earth for a thousand years. It begins at Christ’s death at the cross.

and represents the first of the harvest. It speaks of Christ’s resurrection from
the dead. After this resurrection, there are fifty days (jubilee) until Pentecost.
The first three feasts are in the first month (Nisan) of the Jewish year. This is
Spring time (falls in either March or April). This is the harvest of barley.
Pentecost (also called “feast of weeks” in Hebrew “Shavout”)

Event that occurs: In the third month after Israel left Egypt, the law given on
Mount Sinai= Ex 19:1. Israel made a kingdom of priests and a holy nation
(Ex 19:6). Two wave loaves, a new offering. This is the time of the harvest of

wheat and speaks of the gentile age of the people of God. The gentiles are
symbolically becoming a part of God’s people. We see this as both Israel
and Egyptians left Egypt together (prophetically shows both Jew and Gentile
leaving bondage). The two wave loaves speak of both Jew and Gentile. The
“stranger” of Lev 23:22 is a gentile.
Significance: This obviously speaks of Acts 1:8 when Jesus said wait until
you are clothed with power from on high. This symbolizes being baptized in
the Holy Spirit (clothed in power) to bring in the harvest of both Jew and
Gentile. This is the “church age” of God’s prophetic calendar. We are living
in this age awaiting Christ’s return to the earth to reign for 1,000 years. This
is the time Gentiles and Jews become God’s true people circumcised in the
hearts, and natural Israel is scattered.
There is a long interval of the third to the sixth month until the feast of trum­
pets. There are four months from Pentecost to the feast of trumpets. This
speaks of the summer working the fields to prepare for the coming final har­
vest (John 4:35). We seem to be moving into this final harvest and end time
revival now.
Feast of Trumpets (shofaret)
References: Lev 23:23­25
Date: Tishra 1
Event that occurs: Memorial of the blowing of the trumpets (shofars). Re­
membering all events announced by the trumpets.
Significance: This speaks of Christ’s coming at the blast of the shofar! This
season is the harvest of the corn (grain), oil, and wine. The time frame of the
last three feasts is in the seventh month, which falls in Autumn (September
or October). The feast of trumpets is the rapture of the true bride of Christ­
for those that have made themselves ready.
Day of atonement (Yom Kippur)
References: Lev 23:26; Lev 16
Date: Tishra 10
Event that occurs: Soul is afflicted through fasting, repentance, sorrow over
sin, and the individual is in mourning. No work is to be done except for that
of the High Priest as he makes atonement for Israel’s sin. Blood is shed for
this atonement (Lev 17:11).

Significance: Aaron the High Priest came out of the Holy of Holies twice be­
fore the goat was sent away taking the sin of Israel with it. First, it was re­
garding the Priestly family then it had to do with all of Israel. So the Lord
Jesus will come twice from the heavenlies: First he will come to meet his
bride (priestly family) in the air; then he will come again to earth in relation­
ship to Israel. During this time, the church will be seven years at the mar­
riage supper of the Lamb while the earth endures the seven­year tribulation.
This is also a time referred to as Jacob’s trouble because Israel will suffer a
great deal during this time as well.
Tabernacles (Succoth)
References: Lev 23:33­44; Deut 16:13­15
Date: Tishri 15
Event that occurs: A very joyful season of ingathering in the corn, oil, and
wine harvests of the year. Israel would dwell in booths or tabernacles to re­
mind of God’s dwelling with them in their journey to the Promise Land (Ex
23:16).
Significance: This speaks of Christ’s second coming to earth to set up his
kingdom in Jerusalem for a thousand years. We see both Jew and Gentile
gathered unto Christ in this great ingathering. Rev 7:9­10
“Scripture bears out the fact that God will have and earthly and a heavenly
people forever. He will keep his covenant with the House of Israel, his
earthly people (Jer 31:31­34). Israel will be forever (Jer 31:35­37). God will
keep his promise to Israel that their Messiah will be Ruler­ King over them as
we read in Micah 5:2. In Messiah’s first coming he was not actually their
King. God will keep his promise to Abraham that his seed will be as the stars
and sand for multitude: Stars= heavenly people. Sands= earthly people. He
will keep his promise that once Israel was not a people during their rejection
but in the latter days would once more be his people= Hosea 1:9, 10; 2:23;
3:4­5. All those of Israel and the Gentiles who were redeemed up until the
fulfilling of the feast of trumpets are God’s heavenly people. All those of Is­
rael who will be dealt with by God during “Jacob’s trouble” and who will re­
pent when they accept Jesus as their Messiah during that time, are God’s
earthly people. Jesus will be King of the Jews, a holy nation (Ex 19:6). He is
never called King of the church. He will be king of kings and Lord of Lords

As far as Fire and Ice, we understand that God will bless those that bless
Israel and curse those that curse Israel. We do love and bless Israel. It is a
sign of the times that Israel is once again a nation that is moving into Biblical

standards of Temple worship again. This is final hour, we must move quickly
to bring in the harvest and prepare for Christ’s second coming. The grace of
God to help us in this fast works is the end time anointing God has sent
through the fiery revivals across the earth. Let’s get in the flow of this anoint­
ing and bring in the harvest.
Other Bible symbolism:

2. Night, venomous, violent, or wild creatures usually speak of demons
(ex. Owls, Jackals, snakes, scorpions, lions (sometimes speak of Je­
