fuelwood, bamboo fuel and charcoal from the western, northern and southern sectors of Meiktila,
filling and/or competing with woodfuel supply from the study area. Table 5.4 gives an overview of
the prevailing woodfuel prices in 1991 at the 10 main market centres.
