High compression in your Massey-Harris means a cooler-running engine . . . extra power for occasional STRAIGHT-LINE TRANSMISSION SAVES POWER * Massey-Harris transmissions are precision-built. Power moves in a straight line through the gears to the final drive. There's no lost motion . . . no power-consuming side tracking. Gears arc machined accurately for a full-rolling contact . . . case hardened for extra toughness, long-life. Heavy ribs in the transmission cases provide maximum strength with less weight. Shafts are short, husky . . . to eliminate flexing, take shock- loads easier. Heavy-duty bearings last longer . . . run smoother. Oil-bath lubrication positively protects gears, bearings and shafts. Speeds are determined after exhaustive tests under varying conditions and are job-matched to each tractor model. GOVERNOR CONTROLLED Your Massey-Harris tractor delivers the right kind of power and economy for each job. You don't under-power heavy jobs nor over-power light jobs. AND NEW Depth-o-matic SYSTEM Depth-o-matic System is a small, compact double-action hydraulic cylinder with both fast and slow speed. It's cornpietely out of the way, leaving the tractor platform clear for an occasional stretch. It's safer too . . . no dangerous power lines or linkage to worry about. Depth-o-matic raises and lowers implements tinder power . . . there's no bouncing, banging, dropping of your implements. Once you set the depth adjustment for your conditions, it's automatic. A touch of the lever raises the implement; another touch lowers it to the original depth. A by-pass permits minor depth adjustments while you're working. Depth-o-matic System operates equally well with pull-behind and selective control rams.
