Hamilton <strong>Bottles</strong> In Art<br />
William Henry Hamilton Trood (1848-1899) was an artist, specializing in oil<br />
paintings of dogs. Schooled in England, his work is characterized in a highly finished,<br />
sympathetic quality with attention to detail. Two of his most famous paintings were<br />
painted in 1887 and involved Hamilton soda water bottles and dogs: “Uncorking the<br />
Bottle” (Fig. 3) and “A Surprising Result,” (Fig. 4).<br />
