WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION
• Clips attach Saris system to your vehicle.
• Two clips are in each package
(2 packages required).
• Clips are specific to vehicles. Always use the correct SARIS clips specified for your vehicle.
If you use the roof rack on a second vehicle, you will probably need additional clip sets.
Refer to listings.
• See instruction manual included with each clip set for specific information pertaining to clip fits.
• Lettered notes indicate important facts you should be aware of before
purchasing a Saris system.
• Numbered notes indicate general instructions for clip placement.
• Roof Rack notes located on the inside back cover of this guide.
s • (S) refers to the available distance between load bar centers.
• Usable accessories and maximum load are determined by the
available load bar spacing.
• Information in this guide is based on vehicle’s standard features; optional features may affect compatibility guide recommendations.
• Clean vehicle roof and tower foot pads before mounting roof rack.
• Be aware of low overhead clearances when carrier is installed.
• Periodically remove roof rack and accessories for cleaning and inspection.
• Remove roof rack from vehicle before entering automatic car wash.
• In addition to securing to load bars, all long loads including but not limited to; boats, lumber and ladders must be tied down,
front and rear, to bumpers or tow hooks of the vehicle.
• Not recommended for use at speeds exceeding 65 mph.
• The Saris system does not increase gutter or roof strength. For maximum weight limitations, follow
recommendations of vehicle manufacturer.
• For all types of loads, distribute the weight evenly over both load bars with heavier items toward
the outside.
• When carrying only ONE item, carry in center.
