WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION<br />

• Clips attach <strong>Saris</strong> system to your vehicle.<br />

• Two clips are in each package<br />

(2 packages required).<br />

• Clips are specific to vehicles. Always use the correct SARIS clips specified for your vehicle.<br />

If you use the roof rack on a second vehicle, you will probably need additional clip sets.<br />

Refer to listings.<br />

• See instruction manual included with each clip set for specific information pertaining to clip fits.<br />

• Lettered notes indicate important facts you should be aware of before<br />

purchasing a <strong>Saris</strong> system.<br />

• Numbered notes indicate general instructions for clip placement.<br />

• Roof Rack notes located on the inside back cover of this guide.<br />

s • (S) refers to the available distance between load bar centers.<br />

• Usable accessories and maximum load are determined by the<br />

available load bar spacing.<br />

• Information in this guide is based on vehicle’s standard features; optional features may affect compatibility guide recommendations.<br />

• Clean vehicle roof and tower foot pads before mounting roof rack.<br />

• Be aware of low overhead clearances when carrier is installed.<br />

• Periodically remove roof rack and accessories for cleaning and inspection.<br />

• Remove roof rack from vehicle before entering automatic car wash.<br />

• In addition to securing to load bars, all long loads including but not limited to; boats, lumber and ladders must be tied down,<br />

front and rear, to bumpers or tow hooks of the vehicle.<br />

• Not recommended for use at speeds exceeding 65 mph.<br />

• The <strong>Saris</strong> system does not increase gutter or roof strength. For maximum weight limitations, follow<br />

recommendations of vehicle manufacturer.<br />

• For all types of loads, distribute the weight evenly over both load bars with heavier items toward<br />

the outside.<br />

• When carrying only ONE item, carry in center.<br />
