SEPRO PNEUMATIC TYRE DRIVE GRINDING
MILLS
Both reliable and economical Sepro Pnematic Tyre
Driven (PTD) mills offer an excellent alternative to
conventional trunnion type mills. Available in open
grate and overflow discharge configurations the mills
can be adapted to suit a wide range of applications.
Sepro mills can be operated as either rod mills or
ball mills. The drive system consists of multiple gear
boxes and electric motors typically direct connected
and controlled through a AC variable frequency drive.
The VFD package allows the operator to fine tune the
operation of the mill based on speed and ball charge.
Shell supported mills such as the Sepro PTD mill
minimize stress on the mill shell by spreading the
drive power over the full length of the mill. Further
the fully fabricated mill shell is thermally stress
relieved during the fabrication process which provides
excellent longevity. With the ability to simply
remove the grate or discharge head, accessing the
mill internals for maintenance is done quickly with
minimal heavy lifting.
