Land Pride’s New 25 Series 8’ and 10’ Rotary Cutters
Land Pride’s RCR25 Series 8’ and 10’ Rotary Cutters are
suited just perfect for those medium sized chores. Designed
for excellent performance in pastures, set aside acres,
roadsides and routine farm maintenance, we have a model
to fit your 30-110 HP tractor. Both sizes are available in a
3-Point or Pull-Type model.
Standard with two stump jumpers, each with two free
swinging heat-treated blades, these cutters are designed to
cut grass, weeds and saplings up to 1” in diameter. Front
and rear guarding must be selected, and are available in
rubber or chain. 15 1/4” Laminated tires are standard on
the 3-point model, while the pull-type offers a selection of
24” aircraft tires, 15” wheel rims or 21” laminated tires.
Pull-type — The Pull-type model features two leveling rods
that connect the rear axle to the front tongue. This enables
the deck to stay level during uneven ground conditions.
The height controlling axle cylinder is attached to two deck
springs which help cushion the cutter in rough terrain.
3-Point — The 3-point unit utilizes two castering laminated
tailwheels for smooth, trouble-free performance. The easy to
attach clevis hitch is designed to fit Cat. 1 or 2 tractors on
the 96” model, and Cat. 2 or 3 tractors on the 10’ model.
Sturdy Deck Design — The all-welded, 10 ga. deck features
side side to side, and and front to rear channels for overall support.

All boom rotary cutters are not created equal. The Land
Pride Parallel Arm Rotary Cutter has a unique name for a
reason. Designed to “reach out” and cut along roadsides,
over guard rails, down ditchbanks and along side ponds,
the parallel arm cutter has features not found on your
typical boom cutter.
First of all, it has a constant attitude! When the two cylinders
that operate the two arm sections are activated, the attitude
of the deck does not change; thanks to the parallel arm
design. Lift the cutter head up, in or out to negotiate an
obstacle, and your cutter deck position does not change; set
the cutter head down at the same attitude as it was prior to
the obstacle. This makes your work efficient!
The hydraulic breakaway feature of the parallel arm cutter
is also not found on your standard boom cutter. When an
immovable obstacle is hit with the cutter deck, instead of
swinging the tractor around in a dangerous whip, the cutter
deck and arms pivot to the rear, allowing you time to stop,
or at least help the cutter deck pass the obstacle. You simply
restore the cutter deck to its original position with the help
of a hydraulic cylinder. You can also swing the cutter deck
rearward enabling you to mow into a tight corner, again
putting it back to its original setting with the hydraulic cylinder.
The cutter deck is operated by a hydraulic motor, which is
run by a pump powered by the PTO of the tractor. A flow
control valve is standard equipment to protect the hydraulic
system of the cutter from the high GPM many of the newer
tractors now utilize. The 35 gallon oil reservoir keeps the unit
running cool, and the in-line filter continually cleans the oil
each time it is returned to the reservoir.
The optional electronic package enables each of the arm
and deck hydraulic cylinders to be activated by a toggle
switch. You get instant response from the cylinder, which can
be very difficult with the tractor’s hydraulic controls.

next to water or roadsides is what this cutter is all about.

20’ FOLDING
Outer wing wheels can be single
or dual. Duals are ideal when
mowing in areas where one wing
needs to flex up hill. The outer
wheel rides up the embankment
and keeps the deck from gouging.
Wheel spindles are bolt-in to
allow easy change out.

The 20' cutting width, 2" to 14" cutting height and ability
to cut weeds and brush up to 3" in diameter make the
RC5020 well suited for varied applications. Various safety
guard choices make these an excellent choice for state and
municipal mowing applications.
The double stacked blade configuration on the Shredder kit is
ideal for cutting residue into smaller pieces, while the Baffle kit
maintains the cut material in each section of the cutter for a
consistent discharge from the rear of each deck.

Land Pride’s 55 series, 15 foot cutter is smooth all the
way around. It is smooth on top, which allows debris and
moisture to roll off or be easily swept or blown off, and it
gives a nice sleek appearance to boot! The underside is just
as smooth, which means less chance of dry caking material
getting lodged in tight corners, which again, means less time
for cleaning.

In our continuing effort to manufacture products in a responsible
manner, all Land Pride Rotary Cutters have been designed, tested and
found to meet the rigorous voluntary testing requirements of the safety
tests as specified in ANSI 871.4, ASAE 5474 and SAE J232.
Blade Unbalance Test: One blade is removed and cutter run for
two minutes to evaluate the structural integrity of the complete
cutter and power train.
Blade Impact Test: Rotary Cutter is lowered onto a vertical 2" steel
stake while running at optimum blade tip speed to evaluate the
integrity of the complete power train.
Thrown Object Test: 3600 Nails are dropped through multiple
holes in the top side of the deck into the rotating blades to
evaluate deck design and safety guards.
Structural Integrity Test: 2" Long steel rods are dropped through
multiple holes in the top side of the deck into the rotating blades
to evaluate the structural integrity of the deck material.
Foot Probe Test: 8" Leg to toe with a 4" in-step model foot is
inserted under the perimeter of the deck to evaluate its relationship
with the rotating blades.
Testing Using Rugged Industry Standards
These cutters, however, like any piece of power driven equipment,
are only as safe as the care and concern of the operator and the
way they are used.
