Although the above table suggests that very little floating river vegetation was present in the<br />

<strong>River</strong> Nore square, low water levels would have had a large impact on aquatic vegetation.<br />

Watercourses with shallow water such, as site 10, were favourable for the colonisation <strong>of</strong> water<br />

parsnip. The growth <strong>of</strong> water parsnip was not evident in smaller channels surveyed.<br />

A diversity <strong>of</strong> floating river vegetation was evident in the Mulkear <strong>River</strong> square. Ranuncu-<br />

lus was the dominant aquatic vegetation within the survey square. All channels maintained by the<br />
