Replacement of Carpet Rib System
It is not always possible to avoid cigarette burns, chewing gum or oil stains in the entrance area. Millions of
footfalls on a surface means it eventually may have to be replaced.
The replacement rib system significantly increases the effective life of EMCO entrance matting. The basic aluminium
mat chassis remains, only the carpet ribs are changed.
Procedure
1.
Remove the old ribs by hand.
2.
Clean the aluminium mat chassis of any dirt or rib remnants.
3.
Insert the replacement carpet strip until flush with one end
of the aluminium mat chassis profile.
4.
A few taps with a rubber mallet accurately positions the carpet strip
into its aluminium support. Cut off any excess that protrudes from the
aluminium chassis.
Damage
If damage occurs to the mat whilst in operation, we strongly recommend
that you contact our technical help line for the best advice for action. Due
to the structured design of the EMCO mat, it is almost certain that the
majority of repair can be carried out on site, without the need to return to
the factory for repair. Emco engineers can be on your doorstep at short
notice to carry out rectification work.
