Description: ART ® Aerosol-Resistant Tips offer a safe alternative to using<br />

positive displacement pipettors. ART ® Tips are designed for applications<br />

such as PCR, pipetting radioactive materials and genetic studies. In addition,<br />

ART ® Tips are excellent for tissue culture, gel loading, serological assays<br />

and forensic studies. ART ® Tips prevent aerosol contaminants and liquids<br />

from reaching the pipette barrel due to a nonwicking self-sealing barrier.<br />

All ART ® Tips are presterilized, DNase- and RNase-free, racked and ready<br />

to use.<br />

Description: Automatic Processor Compatible (APC) Film provides the<br />

means to capture enhanced images and permanent copies of results. The<br />

film is exposed using fluorescent light from a standard light box. Films are<br />

Description: The Gel Drying Kit provides a convenient and economical<br />

alternative to expensive and sometimes problematic gel dryers and vacuum<br />

systems. Both polyacrylamide and agarose gels may be dried using this kit.<br />

After electrophoresis, gels are placed between two moistened sheets of clear<br />

cellulose film, the sheets are clamped between the frames, and the gels are<br />

left to dry overnight. Gels dried in this manner can be viewed easily while<br />

drying and, once dry, are protected from damage and can be stored in<br />

laboratory notebooks. The Gel Drying Film is essentially gas-impermeable<br />

when dry.<br />

A set of Gel Drying Frames will accommodate one standard 16 × 16cm<br />

polyacrylamide gel, four 7 × 9cm minigels or one 7 × 10cm agarose gel.<br />
