Description: Gold ST★R 10X Buffer can be used to amplify STR loci using<br />
AmpliTaq Gold ® DNA polymerase. Gold ST★R Buffer can be substituted for the<br />
STR 10X Buffer, which is supplied with PowerPlex ® and GenePrint ® STR Systems,<br />
allowing the use of either AmpliTaq ® or AmpliTaq Gold ® DNA polymerase.<br />
This buffer includes BSA for a more robust reaction and improved results<br />
under nonoptimal conditions. The combination of Gold ST★R 10X Buffer and<br />
AmpliTaq Gold ® DNA polymerase can result in greater sensitivity and reduced<br />
amplification artifacts.<br />

Description: K562 DNA is purified from a subculture of the human chronic<br />
myelogenous leukemia cell line. K562 DNA serves as a control for most steps<br />
of the single-locus probe analysis procedure. The DNA also can be used as a<br />
reference for determining fragment sizes of VNTR alleles following appropriate<br />
restriction digestion. K562 fragment sizes obtained may vary slightly due to<br />
interlaboratory differences in protocols and methods of analysis.<br />
Concentration: 0.4–1.0μg/μl.<br />
Storage Conditions: Store at –20°C. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles or<br />
exposure to frequent temperature changes. These fluctuations can greatly alter<br />
product stability.<br />
