4 Mechanical and electrical interfacing<br />
4.1 Board size and mounting holes<br />
The outer shape of the <strong>PDx</strong>-<strong>113</strong>-<strong>57</strong>/<strong>60</strong>-<strong>SE</strong> controller/driver board has been designed in order to fit to the back<br />
bell of a NEMA 24/<strong>60</strong>mm flange size motor (<strong>60</strong>mmx<strong>60</strong>mm). Consequently, it is a little bit larger than the<br />
motor when being mounted to a standard NEMA 23/<strong>57</strong>mm motor (figure 3.1).<br />
There are four mounting holes altogether. They have been designed in order to fit to our line of NEMA<br />
23/<strong>57</strong>mm [QSH<strong>57</strong>18] and NEMA 24/<strong>60</strong>mm [QSH<strong>60</strong>18] stepper motors. Two mounting holes at opposite corners<br />
of the board have been placed on the board in order to be able to attach it to the back bell of our NEMA<br />
23/<strong>57</strong>mm stepper motor and the other two for mounting it to one of our NEMA 24/<strong>60</strong>mm stepper motors.<br />
