The following major topics are covered: About the Statistics Panel on page 71 Introducing the Statistics Panel Tabs on page 72 Working with the Statistics Panel on page 93 Using Statistics Filtering on page 93 Modifying Statistics Panel Columns and Tabs on page 104 About the Statistics Panel Using the Statistics panel, you can: Filter addresses, ports, VLAN IDs, conversations, or protocols. Preview filtered results prior to analysis. Collapse columns to identify top access patterns (for example, port scanners). Sort tables by any available metric. Highlight and reduce large volumes of data prior to packet analysis. Use Auto Filter capabilities to automatically generate mining filters based on your selections. The Statistics panel is optimized to browse statistics without downloading significant amounts of data. The Statistics panel’s tabbed interface provides preconfigured sets of statistics, as well as the potential to create custom columns within each tab. NOTE: The Statistics Filtering drop down list lets you limit the amount of data displayed in the Statistics panel to improve data retrieval times. See Using Statistics Filtering on page 93.
