Adaptive Display Filter Notes
Using Filters in the Quick Select Window
Keep in mind the following notes when using display filters with Adaptive
Session (ASR) and Adaptive Decode (ASP) data:
Display filters used with the Adaptive views can only include IP
address and Port criteria. Other criteria are not available when
creating filters from the Adaptive views.
Filters created from the Quick Select window that include criteria
other than IP addresses and ports (for example, a MAC address)
will not return any matching data when used against the Adaptive
views.
Display filters must be applied separately against the Adaptive
Session (ASR) and Adaptive Decode (ASP) views.
Sniffer Adaptive Application Analyzer also provides a separate
display filter mechanism for the traditional postcapture packet
decode display. Refer to Working with Display Filters on page 172
for information on these filters.
