Per order a general handling fee of EURO 4 € (EURO 10 € for foreign charges), incl. shipping,<br />

will be charged; for online-orders an advanced booking fee of 10 % plus shipping-allowance<br />

of EURO 2,50 € will be charged.<br />

Per customer a maximum of 10 tickets per day and discipline may be ordered.<br />

All tickets (except print@home-tickets) are valid for travelling to and from the equestrian<br />

stadium in the Soers on the corresponding event day with busses and trains of the AVV (2nd class DB).<br />

Upon request, tickets at reduced prices for pupils and students are available, for the<br />

event days from Tuesday until Saturday. Special wheelchair tickets are also available<br />

upon request.<br />

Children (Until the age of 6) have free entrance to the show grounds, but are not entitled<br />

to a seat. Fun, action and professional care is provided for our youngest <strong>CHIO</strong>-visitors<br />

(for children between 4 and 12 years of age) in the <strong>CHIO</strong> “ROBY-CLUB“ on the show grounds<br />

from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.<br />

”Horse & Symphony” Concert<br />

”Horse & Symphony” - horses in harmony with music. In a unique show, wonderful equestrian choreographies<br />

will be accompanied by music from the <strong>Aachen</strong> Symphony Orchestra. This popular<br />

event has been staged in the Deutsche Bank <strong>Stadium</strong> since 2003 (covered seats €29).<br />

Sunday, June 23 rd , Show Grounds<br />

Soers Sunday, presented by WARSTEINER<br />

Soers Sunday o ers an entertaining day out for the whole family. It traditionally begins with the<br />

ecumenical church service in the Deutsche Bank <strong>Stadium</strong>. Afterwards the on-site <strong>CHIO</strong> Village,<br />

which boasts many interesting exhibitors, invites the visitors to take a leisurely stroll. An exciting<br />

show programme will be running throughout the whole day. Entrance is free of charge.<br />

A spectacular show programme that will be largely dominated by the partner country of the <strong>CHIO</strong><br />

<strong>Aachen</strong> 2013 will kick o the World Equestrian Festival.<br />

Tuesday, June 25 th<br />

On late Thursday afternoon, the <strong>CHIO</strong> <strong>Aachen</strong> will be opened o cially – in the course of the spectacular<br />

opening ceremony in the Main <strong>Stadium</strong>. The spectators can look forward to a colourful<br />

programme, which will feature versatile presentations of the <strong>CHIO</strong>’s partner country 2013. Already<br />

in the morning, the day kicks o with a sports highlight: Then riders and horses will present themselves<br />

in the opening jumping competition in the world famous stadium.<br />

Wednesday, June 26 th<br />

The highlight of the day is the WARSTEINER Prize, the Prize of Europe. This is one of the most important<br />

jumping competitions of the <strong>CHIO</strong> <strong>Aachen</strong>. The competitors will include world elite jumping<br />

riders and they are sure to guarantee a thrilling atmosphere in the Main <strong>Stadium</strong>. The WARSTEINER<br />

Prize is a quali er for the ROLEX Grand Prix on Sunday.<br />

Thursday, June 27 th<br />

The Mercedes-Benz Prize, part of the FEI Nations‘ Cup, is one of the most demanding competitions<br />

of the <strong>CHIO</strong> <strong>Aachen</strong>. Since 1929 the world’s best jumping nations have been contesting<br />

against each other in the popular Nation’s Cup. The competition is held in the evening as a oodlit<br />

event. An unforgettable experience for both the riders and the spectators.<br />

Friday, June 28 th<br />

Today, in addition to further jumping competitions, the famous RWE-Prize of North-Rhine Westphalia<br />

is on the agenda. This competition with a jump-o o ers the riders a nal opportunity to<br />

qualify for the ROLEX Grand Prix on Sunday. Furthermore, “guests” from the disciplines eventing<br />

and driving will also be performing in the Jumping <strong>Stadium</strong>.<br />

Saturday, June 29 th<br />

Today, you can look forward to an exciting and entertaining all-day programme as well as a separate<br />

oodlit evening agenda, i.e. the Prize of <strong>Aachen</strong>Münchener or the Prize of Sparkasse, a spectacular<br />

hunting competition over ditches and banks.<br />

Sunday, June 30 th<br />

A fantastic event comes to a close with a fantastic competition. Experience the ROLEX Grand Prix,<br />

the Grand Prix of <strong>Aachen</strong>, followed by the traditional “Farewell of Nations”. The emotional farewell<br />

ceremony at the <strong>CHIO</strong> <strong>Aachen</strong> – with its unique tradition, when the crowds wave “goodbye” with<br />

white handkerchiefs.<br />

Wednesday, June 26 th to Sunday, June 30 th<br />

The dressage sport stands for elegance and grace as well as for the perfect harmony between a<br />

horse and its rider. The Lambertz Nations‘ Cup, which is contested by the world’s top teams, is one<br />

of the highlights at the <strong>CHIO</strong> <strong>Aachen</strong> 2013. The nal decisions fall on Thursday, in the TESCHIN-<br />

KASSO (Grand Prix CDIO) and on Saturday in the MEGGLE-Prize (Grand Prix Spécial CDIO). The<br />

crowning glory of the event is the famous Deutsche Bank Prize, the Grand Prix Dressage of <strong>Aachen</strong><br />

(Grand Prix Freestyle CDIO), which takes place on Sunday. Evening oodlit events on Wednesday,<br />

Friday and Saturday round o the versatile programme in the Deutsche Bank <strong>Stadium</strong>.<br />

Wednesday, June 26 th to Sunday, June 30 th<br />

Speed – agility – skill: The four-in-hand driving competitions are a further highlight. The breathtaking<br />

competitions in the disciplines dressage and obstacle driving in the Driving <strong>Stadium</strong> and<br />

the thrilling Wohnwelt Pallen Marathon on Saturday are highlights for the whole family. The diverse<br />

and compact Marathon course guarantees excitement pure up until the very last second. There is an<br />

individual and team classi cation in all three four-in-hand disciplines.<br />

Friday, June 28 th to Saturday June 29 th<br />

The eventing competitions have been a permanent xture on the <strong>CHIO</strong> <strong>Aachen</strong> programme since<br />

the FEI 2006 World Equestrian Games in <strong>Aachen</strong>. The competitions of the DHL-Prize are staged<br />

over two days. On Friday the dressage competition is held in the Deutsche Bank <strong>Stadium</strong> and the<br />

jumping takes place in the Main <strong>Stadium</strong>. A day later, on the Saturday, the individual and team<br />

winners of the DHL-Prize are determined on the Soers cross-country course, which ends with a<br />

nal lap in the Main <strong>Stadium</strong>.<br />

Friday, June 21 st to Sunday, June 23 rd ( rst <strong>CHIO</strong> weekend)<br />

Acrobatics and equestrian sport – these two areas are united harmoniously in the vaulting sport.<br />

Vaulting not only requires strength, technique, agility and aesthetics, but also a deep-founded<br />

trust between the horses and athletes. The vaulting competitions at the <strong>CHIO</strong> <strong>Aachen</strong> are divided<br />

up into compulsory and freestyle tests. In addition to the individual classi cation there are also<br />

team competitions. The Prize of Sparkasse, the team freestyle competition is especially popular,<br />

whereby the Nations’ Cup on Soers Sunday forms a further sporting highlight.<br />
