Litchfield Crash
Requires The Response
Of Two Ambulances
A two vehicle crash during the
first snow storm of the year in the
area of 551 Charles Bancroft
Highway in Litchfield on December
9th, required the response of two
Hudson ambulances.
Ambulance 2 with a crew of
Firefighters Sullivan and Haerinck
along with Litchfield crews were
toned to the scene by Dispatcher
Glenn at 06:55. On arrival crews
found a head-on two vehicle crash
with heavy front end damage. Upon
checking the occupants of the cars
two were found to be injured. After
evaluating the patients command
requested a second ambulance to the
scene at 07:14.
Toned to the scene was Ambulance 1
with a crew of Firefighters Blinn and
Crane. Due to the weather and the crash
Charles Bancroft Highway was shut down
causing a large traffic back up. A second
patient with minor injury was loaded into
Litchfield Car 1 and transported to a
nearby Technical Park and transferred into
Ambulance 1.
Both patients were treated by crews
for their injuries and transported to
Manchester and Nashua Hospitals.
We Say Goodbye
We say goodbye to Firefighters Steve Jarry
and Buddy Hallowell who both resigned in
December. We wish them both the best of
luck with their future endeavors.
