Photo’s By Al Boucher Partition Fire Quickly Knocked Down By Crews Dispatcher Glenn received two calls on December 3rd, reporting a fire in the walls of a home at 299 Webster Street. Toned to the scene at 11:12 were Engine 2 with a crew of Captain Tice and Firefighters Provencal, Sands and Explorer Pilon, Ladder 2 with a crew of Firefighters Sliver and Chamberlain, Engine 4 with a crew of Lieutenant Chaput, Firefighters Bradish and Mallen, Engine 1 with a crew of Firefighters Crane and Blinn along with Car 1 with Chief Murray, Car 2 with Deputy Carter, Car 3 with Deputy Buxton and Car 4 with Captain Grebinar. Car 2 arrived on the scene at 11:19 and reported nothing showing. As Engine 2’s crew investigated they found a fire burning in an exterior wall and stretched a line into the basement. Ladder 2’s crew began to open up the wall checking to see how far the fire had extended. Engine 1 took a hydrant while Engine 4 assisted Engine 2. Chief Murray assisted with command. Companies opened up and found the fire contained to a small area of the wall and quickly knocked down the fire. Command placed the fire under control at 11:45. Inspector Triolo was called to the scene to investigate for a cause. Crews overhauled the fire area with the last company clearing the scene at 12:10 During the fire two other calls were received and call back companies responded to those calls.
