in<strong>for</strong>mation to parents and families, local<br />

communities, people interested in setting<br />

<strong>up</strong> new services, and those already providing<br />

services <strong>for</strong> children.<br />

The unit is responsible <strong>for</strong> administering<br />

legislation <strong>for</strong> child care services and providing<br />

in<strong>for</strong>mation about licensing requirements.<br />

Parenting WA<br />

Parenting WA offers an in<strong>for</strong>mation, s<strong>up</strong>port and<br />

referral service to parents and families from prebirth<br />

to 18 years of age. The Parenting WA line is<br />

available 24/7, along with a free library service and<br />

access to regional parenting co-ordinators.<br />
